True true bwahahaha

Actually I noticed this puzzle was pretty unclear because there are two types of players and I should have accounted for the other variety.

Say I have code: 6095
And code order: 3241

Player 1 will get the correct answer because they will go:
"Okay 6 is in slot 3, 0 is in slot 2, 9 is in slot 4, and 5 is in slot 1 so... the answer is 5069"

Player 2 will get the incorrect answer through an equally valid line of logic where they think:
"Okay so... 1 = 6, 2 = 0, 3 = 9, and 4 = 5 so if the order is 3241... the answer is 9056!"

I did consider this when making the puzzle but I thought players might try both approaches which is why I added an alternative ending if your time goes negative during the puzzle!

Ah yes thank you! I noticed the interactivity thing far too late into the jam (I was only able to have one friend playtest it) but I sort of modeled it after some ANCIENT point and click adventure games I played as a kid where the only thing that would change is the cursor. As for the timer being very low originally it was much lower, I had only changed it to 90s instead of 60s after I had a friend playtest it! My friend had suggested ~120s but I thought 90 would add a sense of urgency to the game!

Oh that's weird! Could you tell me a bit more about what happened? I've only seen it bug out like that once or twice but I thought I patched out the error that causes that to happen :\

It's literally so good, this is T H E GMTK loop game

This game is literally peak I love the concept so much

Even though the game was largely unfinished due to time I actually had a really good time! Thank you :)

At first I was ready to skip over this because I'm not USUALLY an idle game fan but I thought to myself "why not."  So I played it and I am absolutely glad I did, the is a perfect little game jam game. 10/10 WILL play again (post jam).

It's a cute small game, I love it!

6 days with 0 casualties and then I decided to see how many loops I could make in a single loop... I only lasted 8 days LMFAOFAOFOAO

I legitimately could not beat the game EVEN using NVIDIA's brightening feature. I will try again later but you really do need to brighten the environment. It was fine up until the room where I need to read papers in the dark.

It's a very simple narrative but I like it a lot, the artstyle reminds me a lot of "I saw her standing there" back on armor games. Good work! :)

This game is probably my favorite I've played in the jam so far- so much so that I will definitely be coming back to this later to finish the last few levels. SUCH a good concept for a puzzle game.

Thank you for making it!

This game was pretty alright! I loved the premise and the central idea on the game. I'll follow you in case you ever decide to iterate on it :)

It's a simple game but for some reason I just had to beat it. Nice work!

I really liked the death mechanic but I feel like it should have been explained a bit more thoroughly (either on the itch page or in game) since I was a tad confused about how it worked at first.

That being said I had a fair bit of fun playing it, thank you for making it!

I just woke up but there's a shadow on the bottom of the screen that you can click on! You should see it in the room with the big pillar and your mouse should change to look like four arrows in a compass-like configuration!
