Played well on my desktop.  However i got an error when trying to play on my samsung fold 5 mobile phone in open mode.  I'll  try dex mode later.  Good luck getting the mobile working.  This will be a great game to play on the go.

Woo!  Dude this is fun!  Getting old school Zelda vibes with some nice music.  I just wanted to dip my toe in the water but I'm feeling the draw.  I'll need to come back later and put in some time on my new ranger.  So far this is pretty solid, no bugs or complaints to suggest.  I will go hunting for them again later.  Good job and well done!  I'll be back to play.

I think it figured it out.  I got an 8!  (is that good?) using a bottom's up strategy.  I think I need a play guide.  Good game Kai and Father!

Very cool game.

Pros:

1. Love the artwork and music

2. UI interface was well done.

Cons:

1. It's a "Jump right in" style game, but for me I was a little confused about how to best setup my warrior.  I little more guidance for new players would be nice.  On the flip side, many players don't like the hand holding.  Which reminds me, I need to add a "Skip Tutorial" button to my own game.

2. Is there a way around the "Sign in to Play" at the beginning?  I feel like that may chase away a lot of players.

Anyway, it's a fun game, I will revisit it again soon.   Thanks for sharing it and good luck!  I'm looking forward to seeing it progress.

Regards,

Jim

Hey itch.io folks,

I’m Jim (Jimbotron), solo dev. SantoGO is a calm, strategic puzzle game inspired by classic Go: the computer drops 3–5 white stones per wave, you place 3–5 black stones to surround and capture them. Fog of war adds a twist (upper rows’ liberties don’t count until revealed). Goal: Capture as many white stones as possible.  Reach 100% yield on a 9x12 board if you can.

It plays right on your browser on any platform!

Free to play (PWYW model): https://jimbotrongo.itch.io/santogo-free

Just released public version a few days ago. Looking for 20–50 testers (beginners & experts) to help polish it. Feedback welcome on difficulty curve, retention, mobile controls, music, tutorial flow, and overall feel.

Thanks for checking it out! Jim santogo-game@gmail.com
