JINK is now available in public beta.

Play it here: https://jdynamicstudios.itch.io/jink

JINK is a fast neon arena roguelite where movement is your main weapon. Dodge dense projectile patterns, use a directional dash, graze danger to build your score multiplier and shape a build strong enough to survive the final protocol.

Features:

  • Ten-minute runs
  • More than 25 upgrades
  • Normal, Hard and Hell protocols
  • Seven enemy behaviours
  • Multi-phase final boss
  • Risk-and-reward graze multiplier
  • Global best-score ranking
  • Keyboard and touch controls
  • Free browser play with no installation

This is the first public beta, so feedback about difficulty, movement, performance and upgrade balance is very welcome.

Controls:

  • WASD / Arrow keys — Move
  • Space / Shift — Dash
  • Esc / P — Pause
  • 1 / 2 / 3 — Choose an upgrade

Some menu and promotional artwork was created using generative tools and manually integrated into the final game.

Thanks for playing!

Hi! I’m the developer of JINK, a free neon arena roguelite playable directly in the browser.

Play JINK here: https://jdynamicstudios.itch.io/jink

Each run lasts around ten minutes. The player must dodge projectile patterns, use a directional dash, graze danger to increase the score multiplier and combine more than 25 upgrades before facing a multi-phase final boss.

I’m specifically looking for feedback on:

  1. Does movement and dashing feel responsive?
  2. At what point does the difficulty become frustrating or unfair?
  3. Are the upgrade descriptions and choices clear?
  4. Does the score and graze system encourage you to take risks?
  5. Did you experience any performance or browser problems?

If possible, please mention which protocol you played and approximately how long you survived. Honest criticism is welcome and will help me prioritise the next update.
