Ey congrats on beating it! Yea I've experimented with many game engines/frameworks by now, but Godot is looking to be my favorite!

Thanks for playin' and good luck to you on the jam!

Thanks so much! Glad to hear that, I enjoyed brainstorming something for this jam's theme/limitation.

You should be able to see it and control it, but perhaps the game's broken on web for you.

You can try the Windows executable if you'd like, it's a pretty short game to beat.

Thanks yo!

I've heard Godot web builds are pretty unstable between browsers, so maybe try a different browser if you can.

Apologies for the web build being broke, this was my first Godot game, but you can try the Windows executable if you'd like! The game's only 20 seconds long so you can delete right after playing.

Love the classic brick-breaker/Arkanoid action! Took me awhile to beat 1 level at lightspeed, but it was worth it.

OMG Was that 'Piggies' by The Beatles at the start?? That fits so well for this game! & I love the classic Namco vibes, awesome game.

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed my silly game

Thanks for playing! Yea maybe more free-time at the start (no robo-popo) would help to learn the controls better.

LOL I'm glad people find my game funny, thanks so much for playing!

No problem! He was a very relatable character

Thanks so much for the kind words, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed playing my game!

Thank you for playing it! Glad you liked the robo-popo

I enjoyed designing the characters & premise, so I'm happy to hear it you had fun playing it!

Thanks so much for playing, glad you liked my ATM robot! And I agree, having flashier animations would make it more satisfying. Like having the robo-popo start malfunctioning after getting hit alot, then EXPLODE into pieces!

My strategy was to attack 'em 2 times (after getting some spare coins), then move to either spot 2 or 3. Then I only moved one spot left or right when the boss was in the same spot I was. I did that for a bit until I got 15 coins to finish 'em off with 5 attacks in a row!

The punch is so satisfying

Thanks for noticing! I very much enjoy designing characters for games over programming them

Thanks for playing it! Yea I'm glad I spent time to add sound effects, and I think if I zoomed the camera out more it'd make it easier to not fly into enemies.

Thanks so much for playing! Yea I feel like I only got to finish the bare-bones of the game, so I wish I had a partner 'cause I spent most of this jam learning how to use Gamemaker Studio, lol.

(1 edit)

What the heck this is AWESOME! Super nice visuals, cool bosses, and it's the only Halloween game I've seen for this jam! Glad to see a fellow GameMaker user able make such a polished game.

Also, you should definitely make it so it's playable in the browser!

YOO I love the neon visuals, cool looking game!

I like the concept for shooting the robot's body parts. It costs an arm and a leg to attack the enemies! (ba-dum-tssh)

Love the visuals and animation! Simple but appealing

Nice tower defense game! Though assets were oversized for me for some reason:

Nice lil shmup! I'm also doin' jams to learn game development

I like that going into the future makes the environment you effected change, good use of the theme and limitation!

I made a guy scream and scared me LOL.

I like the look for the main guy and the background environment is pretty cool!

Love the atmosphere! Nice music and sounds, makes for a nice relaxing puzzle game

Thanks so much! Yea I thought more people would take the limitation more literal (with cash, money, coins & whatnot). Thanks for noticing the sound effects, too!

I had so many balls, but couldn't make 'em bounce higher! Eventually after pressing the $1000 button multiple times it didn't let me bounce the balls anymore. Glad to see someone else using Gamemaker Studio!

Damnit, I could take on the guards & the KKK, but not at the same time!

Simple and to the point! No threats to worry about, but I like punchin' oil into the pit

I struggled, but made it past the last elevator level! The time-slowdown really helped me get that lazy wizard where I needed 'em to go

Wow, what a twist ending... AWESOME short story!

I love the concept, I chose every horrible decision and plundered humanity into restarting LOL

First submission I actually beat! A bit luck based, but sticking in the 2nd/3rd rows let me get enough coins to defeat 'em! Nice game

I like this idea, I wish trucks also moved though. Maybe potholes, out-of-control cars, or even EXPLODING CARS! would be better obstacles!

OMG I love B-Cubed! Turning the cube into a melting block adds a great puzzle aspect, and fits right in with the theme in a clever way. Short & sweet, nice job!
