thanks for your reply!
I’m still enjoying the game a lot. It’s got better puzzles than Picross 2 for GB, IMO.
My reaction to Puzzle #14 🤣 :

Great game! It's really cute so far and nicely polished. I'm a huge fan of Picross, and have this loaded up on my Miyoo Flip Mini :D
One humble accessibility request: could you add four optional, simple sound effects that play when moving the cursor, as well as marking, crossing, and filling a square? I have a hard time counting just looking at the small squares, so I count as I move the cursor. In other Picross games, the audible cue really helps with counting, instead of only relying on visual feedback or tactile feedback from my dpad.
I'm really liking it. Excellent work!
Made it to the 3rd level!
Skiing Santa is pretty dope. Really cohesive graphics, too.
I think I found an exploit, I can fire 3 or 4 shots if I mash the button around the beat. I also wish I could see my score/distance/streak after I lose. Maybe add a results screen?
EDIT: I also really liked the title screen. Reminds me of an NES game!
What a charming little game. The drones are well-designed; I like how they don't really hinder you unless you are carrying gifts. I also found it interesting that you have to set your stack down in order to fight the drones. The color-coded minimap is appreciated, too.
I know this is just a game jam game, but some feedback: it would be nice if there was an indication that you tried to give the wrong colored gift. Also, the gift icons for the children are a little small and I had a hard time telling between blue and green.
Lovely music. Easy controls. Loved the designs of the goofy lil' guys. Nice Christmas vibes. Well done!
Lovely vibes. Great, cohesive graphics. Interesting level design. What a nice little Christmas game! I liked being able to tackle the game at my own pace. A fun casual romp, and I can see the speed-running roots being addictive for some.
The controls took some getting used to, but once I learned them, they were really responsive and fluid, and it was fun zoopin' around the map.
For more casual players, it would be nice to have some sort of indication pointing to the last few pieces of candy once you're down to 2 or 3 left in an area.
Also, I wasn't quite sure what to do after collecting 200 pieces aside from getting up high and sacrificing myself to the flame spirit. Which was still dope.
Overall, a nice, cozy, enjoyable little package. Thank you!
Nice! The gameplay feels just right, and the graphics are nice and clean. Love the world map. I thought that the Coal Stocking power-up was thematically perfect, too! Everything is so incredibly polished, it's just a shame the demo is so short!
If I had some suggestions for multiplayer:
Looking forward to the full game!
I liked it! Exploring to find the key was fun, and the levels were nicely laid out. I think it could use more checkpoints at the treadmill and swinging platform part, though! Also, I figured out you could sprint a little too late, lol. Nice music, simple controls, and some nice clean graphics. Good!
Excellent! You nailed the UI for Picross--very responsive controls (which are surprisingly important when solving these puzzles quickly!). This has become my most-played Playdate game.
The only thing that's missing for me are some nice minimalist sound effects when navigating, filling, and marking. Also, I can't wait for the Playdate SDK to get network functionality so we can upload our puzzles :)
Great work. It was a steal at $2!
