if I had had more time (and more game dev knowledge) I would have implemeted something that actually indicated a 30 second time limit haha

Cheers for playing mate :)

Groundhog bro!

Nice interpretation of the theme :)

I found the gameplay a little buggy but pretty enjoyable none the less!

Nice annomaly finding platformer :)

Makes a nice change to the horror ones ive seen!

Simple and enjoyable :)

Interesting take on the ouroboros! The last level was quite tricky and took me a few attempts to beat :)

I would defiantly played more if there were more levels!

Fun little game, the apple crunch sound effect was really nice and weighty :)

The game crashed a few times and turned my screen grey when I picked up an apple, but not really sure why. Not sure if you are keeping a list of bugs or not.

Cool entry given the time constraint!

Solid entry mate! I find these style of iterative puzzle solving platformers quite difficult, but this was nice and approachable for someone as unskilled as myself!

Cute art style, really enjoyed :)

GOTY material!

Great entry and use of the theme!

Really loved the music and visual element of the whole thing! Endlessly looping at the end with that banging soundtrack with the icing on the cake for me :)

Great work!

yeah, I totally forgot to put caps on how you could upgrade yourself haha

Cheers for playing mate :)

Fun little game, took me a little while to get the hang of what was going on haha

but once i did a few laps round the board it wasnt too bad! I wasnt very good, but i liked it a lot :)

Fun little arcade style game! Got 155 as my high score :)

player's mechanics were solid and i really liked the wasy the played bounced off of the balls and the enemy that chased you around! not too hard, not too easy!

Well done :)

This was really fun! The robots i had makin the doughnuts almost made a hypnotic type rhythm with their patterns and i could have played this for hours! Super awesome game!

The king is dead! LONG LIVE THE KING!

simple but effective. would be cool to see this expanded upon for different scenarios with different ways to take out all the guards :)

Cool little game though mate!

I got to about 20 seconds remaining and i wanted to kill larry. Spent about 45mins to an hour playing, writing down the best responses.... Is it beatable without relying on a good rng run with the dialog options??

Im genuinly curious as larry can go f*** himself!

Fun little memory game! Really enjoyed it!

I felt the sprint button a little unnesassaary and that i could just walk through each level to completely nullify the eyeball enemy. But aside from that, very good.

Addicting gameplay, could have done that infinatly to see how good my memory is haha

If you have the time, I would appreciate it if you checked out my game as well: GROUNDHOG SLAY

Nice concept of looping around a planet collecting stones!

I felt like the game was a touch too dark, a brightness option would have been handy, but the atmosphere was really good :)

Maxed out strength and settled on my stardard rpg big bonk build! Definatly hindered my progress moving forward haha

cool little game! really enjoyed the loop idea about fighting your previous build as a tyrant!

Fun concept for looping the level though creating clones of yourself! nice and smooth character controls and i like how you can make a clone of yourself anywhere in order to make little platforms and that to get across obsticles!

Great game!

I'll be honest, I was coding frantically to get the gameplay done and completely screwed it so that it was really difficult to get a music track when the game was happeneing weirdly enough haha

Can you let me know what you would change balancing wise as I may expand on this game post jam :)

Cheers for playing pal!

nah the art took two hours, the rest of the game took 3 days and my left leg! btw, salary man was awesome!!

Great experience! Really reminicent of london living :)

ps, i didnt legalize slavery but i did crash the car every time on the way home for good measure

a cool 2 hours spent on it haha cheers for playing mate! did you beat it??

Fun little looping puzzle platformer! Some of the levels took me a little while to crack but i really enjoyed it :)

I bloddy love minesweeper! to play it in a loop is such a great concept! i couldnt beat it, but i go about 2/3 on the way round on my third try before I exploded! Great job pal!

I live and breath for circle time!!!!!

The cubes on the corner were really tough to dodge when the triangles and pentagos come around! couldnt get much of a high score, but i liked it a lot :)

Hey mate! Great job with the nice relaxing platformer. The bos pushing elements were a nice touch, but i somehow managed to beat the game without really knowing how haha

One of my boxes fell off of the map and then i just kinda won? Maybe i didnt make it far enough into the game to figure out where the win state was, but i lucked my way into it on the 3rd room with the ice sheet.

Nice controls, although it can feel a little slidy on the edges of the platforms.

One bug i noticed is that after i died, i couldnt respawn into the game. And when i went back to the main menu to play again, i would be spawned in but not able to move, so would have to exit out of the whole game and reload if i wanted to play again. Not sure if you're keeping a list of bugs or plan on working on this more, but thought id mention :)

Good job pal!

them pesky groundhogs gotta learn they cant just be looping time without people getting upset haha

cheers for playing mate!

I became an unkillable super god with all the lucky diamonds in the known universe! Fun little game :)

Cute little entry. Got that flappy bird thing going on. I like the addition of the fisherman that gives a little danger to trying to collect the rings further up. Nice work!

Cute as the dickens! really enjoyed playing this :) would have been nice to have maybe one more interactable mechanic, but 4 days isnt really enough time to make lots of different interactable mechanics! Really enjoyed this one :)

Simple and calming (but my spacebar qas crying in pain after). Art is georgous!

Great jon on your first ever completed game!

The art for me is the standout feature, i love the look of the gameworld and the things in it! Great use of pixel art.

My main issue is that the movement speed is sooo slow. I'm not sure if you've made the player and enemy movement frame rate dependant, but if not i think the base movement speed of the enemies and the player should be way faster, then upgrades at the shop for movement speed would feel less like a necassity, and more like a choice of what to spend your hard earned money on.

Still a great submission! You should be proud of making something that looks this good that is actually playable in such a short amount of time!

either way, it was a fun little spooky game :)

My brain hurts haha

Super fun game, obviously counldnt put it down until i beat it haha

That was super fun! I played the game on the hardest difficulty and couldnt put it down!

great game concept to fit the theme also!

oh haha, that's another one to add to the list then!

Stick it on the bill!!

Thanks for that! I haven't tried "That Level Again", but now i will defiantly be giving it a go to see how i  could have made my game better haha

Honestly, I think i may have just left the "loop" button unchecked for all the menu music except for the upgrade menu, but i havent actually had a chance to replay and test since i submitted (been a little busy, but will be playing more games and submitting feedback when i get home from work)!

Thanks for your kind words mate, i appreciate your feedback and letting me know about the bug!

All the best <3

Fair enough. To be fair, on replaying, its quite a challenging experience to think about what the level spawn position will be on the next and drive into it at the correct angle to keep your speed

cheers for the kind words mate! Melting the enemies with a lazer beam or a massive ground pound explosion is super fun :)

if i had had more time to work on it (had to submit the game a day early) i could have done a few more levels where the difficulty gets ramped up.

in my initial idea for the game i thought that i would reset the players score to 0 if they died in a level. had my partner test it and they thought it was too punishing so i toned down the difficulty a little bit.

im glad you enjoyed it mate! once i get off work i will give your game a go!

much love mate <3
