Hello all, I'm a new Youtuber and plan to grow my gaming / game dev channel by playing different games and extracting lessons from them. I'll play your game, review it, make a video, and then likely extract a lesson or 2 and post that across my social medias. If you'd like your game played and made into a video, then leave your game in a comment to this thread. My channel, same name, has a playlist with previous jam entries I've reviewed

Honestly mate I loved playing it and see so much potential, it's even inspired me to make my own combat platformer to test out what I'm saying. I'd say add "creating moments" to your goals, such as when the enemies drop down around the player creating that panic. It's fairly easy to do when you have the systems already working and it sticks with players (this is due to psychology which I won't go into but it's super easy to do). best of luck with your next projects, I'll defo be playing them <3
I really enjoyed this game, but I see SOOO much missed potential with it and I hope to share my thoughts with you because you could very easily create some cool gameplay moments if you combined a few of the mechanics.
For example, having some platforms and then enemies drop onto the platforms, creating a mini kind of boss fight, or the player walking and then enemies drop on both sides of them to create some panic.
That being said, I really enjoyed this game and hope to see you continue with it

I know this isn't a competition, but this game will come number 1 in the jam
A truly amazing experience using random events to tell a story, I think it would be nice if you could view your resources when in events to assist with choice making but that's just a personal touch from me. Incredible experience, you really should make this into a full release, it'll do well

Your art skills are incredible, there's so many tiny details that I love, the combat is satisfying and leads to some cool moments. That being said, the player artwork and animation is so good that the Knights lack of animation, when compared to the player and slimes, does stand out. Overall a great game, likely top 10 for this jam, my full review is below
The immersion is crazy, I love how vibrant the text is - really gives the feel of 1980s si-fi, I did find the gameplay loop to be challenging and quite hard to get into, personally I would have preferred if the first few opponents were a bit easier so i didn't keep dying on the second stage, but I don't really play this type of game so that could be a genre thing. Needing to type commands is a nice touch, again adding to the immersion of this being a space mission. Here is my video play and review
hello all, I'm a new Youtuber and plan to play through a few of your games to make some content out of. I will do a live playthrough, and a review. The video will breakdown any interesting techniques you used, with an aim of teaching viewers how to make simple mechanics interesting. These videos will then be broken down into clips which will be shared across my social media channels.
Due to my set up, I can only play browser / HTML games, and I will be taking a reviewer angle, but if you want your game played then it benefits us both
Just leave a comment and I'll check it out and then link the video in your games reviews as I leave my rating
Spamming P is an option I used to win almost every fight
But what I really like is how the enemy behaves. I had a few times where they constantly darted around, leading to them flanking me and getting hits from behind. That was a nice way to create dynamic moments.
But it was very blurry for me, that could be just me tho
Hello All
I plan to play as many games as I can and rate them
But I'm also an avid Twitter / BlueSky user and content creator in the Game Dev space. So if I see anything that I think is quite nice, such as a cool way to make a simple mechanic more interesting, then I'll create a tweet about it (sometimes even going into threads about how this effects player psychology)
I can only play browser games due to my current hardware, but if you want me to review and possibly tweet about your gamejam game then drop the link below
Any reviews of my game will also be appreciated
The shark coming in randomly from the side, and it's movement path being a bit diagonal and shifting, was genius. A great way to add lanes you have to watch out for, and taking the players attention away from easier obstacles
I've created a Twitter post about it cause I think it's an easy but great way to add difficulty to simple mechanics
So this was a test for a feature I'm adding into my long term project, have already added flashes when hit, and currently working on stamina bars, but everything else is roughly the same. I think this style of combat will be easy to set up and tweak for different bosses throughout my story so I'm working on getting it perfect as it'll likely be the emotional climax of my game too

Thank you for your feedback. This was a kinda demo for a feature I wanted to add into my first commercial game (using gamejams to test features in the field has been insane lol), and the feedback has been useful. I have now added flashes for hits, and working on stamina bars for both characters (funnily enough, due to how I've written my attack script, you can't attack OR block if you have no stamina, which was a happy accident)
Really cool how you've changed the enemies to all be different, the massive grey ones scared me. The power ups are good,. My only downside is there doesn't seem like an incentive to die, I can play the game like a shooter and if I die then it's a bonus, but I never felt like I needed to get myself killed to progress. Maybe if there were specific rounds such as 1 grey guy who you needed x powerup for, and this was visualised somehow, that would add to the effect.
Also i love how the instructions are on the wall in front of spawn. Thats sweet
If there is more than a tutorial then I'll delete this video and redo it
I enjoyed the experience, the switching mechanic feels good. I would have liked to see a bit more, and a little story (even just some funny text on screen for why you're in jail) would have gone a long way, but everything works and feels good to play
