This is brilliant, well done! Really clever mechanics and puzzle design, and I'm a big fan of the Baba-like aesthetics. The game feels really well polished too. I hope it gets more attention, you've done a really good job here.

Feel free to check out my game too if you get the chance, it's another puzzle one :)

Very clean little puzzle platformer. This one should have got more attention than it has, it's a very creative take on the theme!

Interesting idea...

Cool game, and great sound design! The intro reminds me of the Talos Principle intro sequence, was that an inspiration. Nice narrative :)

Top tier game, well done! The level design is great, especially from lvl 4 onwards, and you do a good job of introducing mechanics step by step. Really cool take on the theme, and well polished in every aspect. Probably the best game I've come across in the jam yet!

Feel free to give our game a rate too if you get the chance, it's also very polished :)

Pretty fun little game, but the UI is very small and it's a little hard to see what each component is. There doesn't seem to be an option to fullscreen which would make it better (unless I'm missing something?)

This was a really fun one! Difficulty could have ramped up a little quicker but that last level was really well designed, I'd like to see more like it! I liked that the number of moves remaining wasn't actually shown but you could feel it ticking down from how dim the vision got, it really works with the artstyle.

Cool puzzle game, and well polished. I liked the patrols mechanic, you can do some cool things with that.

Feel free to rate my game too if you get the chance, it's a puzzle one too and somewhat similar in how it's played :)

Fun game, quite a lot of projectiles but manageable to weave through them. I think it bugged out for me during the boss though since it just disappeared at one point and then the screen was empty and nothing more happened.

Cool take on the theme. The gameplay felt a little slow though, every action takes quite a while and every room doing the long zoom out animation to show changed paths could have been sped up a bit. Fun overall though! Oh and the bug with the boss is clearly just an intended feature to add to the countdown theme of course, since you have to get there fast on the web build :)

Cool little game, though somewhat unpolished as other commenters said. I just found a vampire sword and attacked every turn and it made it easy to win every encounter I came across, so that probably needs balancing.

Fun game, although it seems like there's a pretty obvious single best solution of just stacking a bunch of multiplier blocks on top of each other to win easily. Definitely more that could be done with this idea though, I imagine it would work well on mobile.

5 stars for audio of course, that's some seriously high effort sound design. Fun little game lol. First time I've seen "down" interpreted in that way too which is cool

This works pretty well, it's a lot of fun. Definitely hard to keep up on the harder difficulties. My only complaint is that the dials can be a bit finicky to adjust, sometimes they don't seem to follow the mouse well.

The artstyle is very cool, though it could do with some prompting of what to do. First time I played I lost without realising I'd even started playing yet.

Cool idea, well polished too! Maybe it would be nice to have a button to increase the countdowns speed when held, to reduce the amount of time spent waiting around.

If you get stuck on a level but still want to see the rest of the cool art scenes, you can press "end" on your keyboard to skip the current level. Some of the puzzles towards the end are very tricky

Yeah I really like how the play button turned out. It's switch between 60:00 and PLAY is also synced to the games ticking music :)

The half-lit segments weren't actually stylistic, they show which lit segments aren't in the correct place for the final solution. We hoped that they'd make it easier to see what digits you need to focus on, but we should probably have explained that somewhere, since it isn't immediately obvious :)

Played through the first few levels and this seems like it will be a lot of fun! Don't have time to play through it all right now but it's definitely one I'll come back to. It's well polished, one of the best I've seen.

Cool idea! It's fun trying to figure out what keys you can leave behind to make it to the end in time.

I like the art :) Maybe a little too easy, since it's quite hard to lose. It would have fit the theme better if the countdown itself felt more pressing. Maybe hitting cats should reduce your remaining time instead of score?

Cool little game. I like the idea, but the exit door to one of the early levels seems to be broken so there's no way to continue.

That was a truly beautiful ending cutscene. Pretty fun game lol

Pretty fun overall! I feel the movement should probably have been more grid based and aligned with the visuals. It felt like I was weirdly offset from the tiles. Maybe an aspect ratio issue?

(1 edit)

Impressive to get this running here. The map itself lacks a bit of polish, there are large holes in terrain you can fall through into the void. Overall pretty cool though!

Simple but fun :)

Makes me want to play the classic Zelda games again. The map is huge, and the screen feels maybe a little too zoomed in, but I think the artstyle is pretty nice :)

"Nobody tells you when it started, but it began the day you were born"

Sounds like it actually is known when it started lol

That's quite the restart animation lol, fun game :)

Really cool idea! The puzzles are a lot of fun. Might be worth adding a reference to the game of life rules to the page for people unfamiliar. Won't involve file changes so it can still be done now post-jam.

Cool game, and the audio does a great job of increasing the tension after each wrong guess. Would be nice if the bar moving down the screen constantly didn't cover the UI the way it does, and I think some of the text was a bit small, but overall a very fun game :)

Fun challenge! I think it would be nice to be able to drag and reposition the notes on a table to see multiple at once, flicking back and forth to find each note again took time, although I guess that adds to the countdown stress.

Love the music! Cool way of adapting Shapez :)

Cool idea! Needs a little polish, but the mechanic has potential :) Reminds me of my last GMTK jam submission, "Squidge". Feel free to check out and rate my new one if you get the chance!

Cool spin on this genre! Takes a bit of thought and fits the theme well :)

Fun little game, it was cool trying to figure out the best order to do things to have enough time, and I liked that it wasn't literally timed but rather tied to actions!

Similar to the other comment, the puzzles were fun but the keybinds were a bit finicky. Overall really good :)

Very cool idea, reminds me of crypt of the necromancer :)
