Update RE: GOG, no luck alas, but someone has been nice enough to put it up on their dreamlist feature. If you'd like to let them know there's appetite for the game to be on GOG, a vote there would be appreciated!

Just added some more!

Done, it's now on sale! :D

I have submitted the game to GOG, but they have a curation policy and don't accept all games. I hope I hear back soon!

I've been struggling to get it working on Mac, but the PC version runs on Mac if you use a free emulator called ScummVR and it's easy to set up, I have a guide here:

Thank you so much! <3

The honest answer is "every once in a while when I remember", I should probably come up with a set schedule for it! I've just added some new ones now.

But also I'm happy to give copies in situations like you describe if people ask, if you don't end up with a copy let me know at info@afootgames.co.uk and I can send you one!

Ooh that's an issue I've not encountered before! Thanks for letting me know, I'll look into it.

I don't want cost to be a barrier to enjoying the game, so I'm periodically going to make community copies available for people who are unable to pay or pay full price ❤️ Keep an eye out! The Steam version also features region specific pricing, which might make the price lower there depending on where you are based.

I tried to price it about equivalent to a paperback book or a cinema ticket - and other point and click games of a similar length and with similar features like having a full professional voice cast and soundtrack.

Yay, thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I'm using Adventure Game Studio, which is free software specifically designed for making adventure games! It uses a programming language based on C# and I found it really easy to pick up (to do the basics anyway!)

Yay, I'm pleased you enjoyed it!

I feel like procrastinating about playing it is the true Mycroft way.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it, thanks for letting me know :D

Thank you so much! I'm pleased you enjoyed the demo, and that's some really useful feedback!

You've made me realise that in the current version of the game, moving between the kitchen and the sitting room is the ONLY time in the whole game you ever have to make the character walk on a specific spot like that to move to a new area.

Every other time you navigate by using doors or clicking on the edge of a screen. I've just done it so many times while testing that I hadn't realised it!

I've got plans for a dog :D

The mice coming out if you play the violin for them is a BRILLIANT idea, I'm definitely filing that one away!

Yes, my plan is that observing details of characters and crime scenes will open up dialogue options and further the story.  It's tricky balancing that and not wanting to put the player to be put in a situation where they can't progress because they didn't happen to put their mouse over some tiny pixelated detail - so I think having an in-game hint system for what kinds of things you should be looking at is really important!
