Yes!!! I had a lot more ideas for the hammer that I wasn't able to include due to my inexperience in music and the later time imbalance I spent trying to figure out how to use a silly program (I was hoping to add doors that would trigger on the battery insertion, breakable walls, and hopefully more contraptions that triggered, almost like a rube goldberg machine of disaster you would need to untangle)
The game was initially supposed to be on how to best use the tools you parasitized in the given situation but yeah ran out of time after trying to learn how to do music for two days (along with those damned legs that also took two days)
Anyway thank you so much!!
this was posted two days ago on the official discord:
"So I think I'm pretty safe to say that I plan to do the public release of v0.4 next weekend. Maybe Friday if everything goes very well. There are a few new features and snippets of content which I think will have to wait for a v4.1, but all the major stuff is in, so it should just be a few days to get it stable and polished enough for public consumption"
Hey, I'm interested! Right now we have a team of 4, composed of 2 devs and 2 artists and looking around for anyone to manage the sound aspects (as well as game concept if they're willing) we plan on making a 2d game for PirateSoftware's Jam 17, my discord is 'stupidface1251' (not a troll I swear lol)
Would love to see some of your work! Contact me through discord when you see this please
This is crazy fun. I didn't expect to be so invested in a game without any visuals and a large amount of reading but it's really really fun. I just encountered my first action block to due lack of implementation and it pulled me out for a moment, so despite having lots(?) more of the game to go I'm already looking forward to the rest and feeling a bit sad its ending so soon. Great game!
The controls are so clever, and I like the logic to justify the inability to use more conventional controls, it's really smart.
Also I'm a bit stuck. I've found 5 friends, and im not sure what the hooded guy up there wants, I tried creating the pattern of his message, both the staff and the dots around it, I've circled the map many times and rolled the ball to no avail, help would be much appreciated!
I heard an integral part of game development is predictabilty, which is why I believe the shooting being offset isnt a great idea, i was frusterated i couldn't attack the enemies so put some upgrades into the accuracy modifier, and died not too long after, instead i invested everything into power and made it to the red dude with the fireballs, i thought i could shoot them but I couldn't... how does one defend from that?
