It seems everyone else has already said it, but the atmosphere is great. Helplessly dreary. Enjoyed this one, felt like I was being guided across the river—guidance gives a certain comfort but neither the journey nor the river are necessarily gentle. Mysterious, comforting in its melancholy. I liked it!
Yellow, blue, red. With these colors alone, you can get a series of infinite rainbows or a litany of anti-monochromatic thinkpieces.
Here, you have a rainbow, sullied and subdued with expert skill and gorgeous visual centerpieces, ready to choke you out like a sailor gone overboard, at any moment.
But that would never happen on the Ocean Limited.
great work, great game, beautiful and insanely intelligent
An uncomfortable, slimy feeling on your skin. Gushing, oozing, flowing down your forearms onto your palms and you can't wash that feeling off your hands no matter how much soap you use. You just have to wait for it to be gone. It's a translucent liquid tenseness you can't do anything about.
snowcorpse necromancy is a well-written, strikingly uneasy story
fantastic, amazing, and beautifully given. A supper for a dinner baste in a gorgeous, vermilion blood seeping from inbetween the pages unto my keyboard, lapping at my fingers, and spreading out amongst my skin.
Well written, crafted, framed, edited, and loved. A morsel tasty, delicious, and savory
Great work, really
i look forward to seeing what you do in the future
I think the font of the dialogue is a bit of an issue. I don't think it's a bad font on itself or anything, but you have to consider that in a visual novel, your reader is going to do a lot of reading. So having a stylized pixel font like that as the font that is being read for a long time can wear on the eyes. It's a subjective thing of course, I'm very nitpicky about dialogue fonts because of accessibility reasons and I think in typography, standardized fonts are there for a reason. Comic Sans is silly and "bad" but very easy to read. Times New Roman, the standard in academia, is a serif font, which generally helps with readability.
Again, this is a very small thing and Ren'Py has built in accessibility options that allow you to adjust and change the font and what not. I would say please just make sure to consider readability in the future when selecting the font that will be most prevalent in your projects.
Again x2, I really genuinely enjoyed your game a lot, thanks so much once more!
