i just released a first playable beta/tutorial of my project Checkmate and Barrel(Shah & Stvol)
it`s a 2d movement-focused shooter inspired by Quake and Team Fortress Classic physics You as a White pawn in a monochrome world of "permanent chaos"
Movement is everything
use shotgun massive recoil to gain speed and fly through the Academy sector.
Aesthetic
Gritty minimalist chess board with a heavy industrial/punk soundscape.
Speed
you can literally move faster than the camera can follow you.
This is a short 1-minute challenge to test the momentum and atmosphere. I`d love to hear you feedback on the physics
