I figured out what was causing it. I’m playing on a 13-inch MacBook Air, and the game viewport is too large to fit properly on my screen in the browser.

The fish is actually located in the bottom-right section of the game, but that part of the viewport isn’t visible on my screen. That’s why it looked like the fish had been left behind when the camera moved.

I’ve attached a screenshot so you can see what I mean. So it seems to be a screen-size/responsiveness issue rather than the camera movement itself.

Hi MacotoSeikatsu,

thank you for playing, and well done protecting the kitten! I’m glad you enjoyed the full seven-minute run.

Your point about gameplay variety is helpful. I’m exploring ways to make the different stages of a run feel more distinct while keeping the game’s simple core intact. I’d like future updates to evolve naturally through playtesting and feedback from the community.

First of all, thank you again for the very insightful feedback you gave me on my game. I really appreciated it!

I really like the concept of your game and found it quite fun once I got the hang of the movement. The game also has a nice style and feels like it has a lot of potential.

The main issue I noticed was with the camera/level movement. A few times the screen moved on to the next section while my fish stayed behind, which made it difficult to continue properly. Once bugs like this are fixed, I think the game could be really fun to play.

Love the concept great high-score-chaser idea. But I die within a few seconds every run and can't tell what's killing me, so it feels like a bug (maybe enemy spawns overlapping the player?) hard to properly play as is, would love to try again!
