Thanks for taking the time to play our game and share your feedback!

We're sorry that the experience felt frustrating. After playing games like Hollow Knight, we thought adding some platforming sections could fit the Metroidvania style, but we never wanted it to become a frustrating experience. Thanks also to  other feedbacks and studies, we're currently reworking the levels to make them feel more like a proper Metroidvania.

The advice about coyote time and jump buffering is really helpful! We didn't know much about these features, but after looking into them, we definitely plan to add them to improve the movement. Thanks for letting us know about it!

As for the character size, we intentionally kept it smaller because we're planning to add flying enemies and larger bosses in the future and we want to avoid the game being too zoomed in, so players can easily see enemies, attacks, and other important things.

For the controls, we were thinking about adding hologram messages during the game to explain mechanics when needed.

Thanks again for playing our game and sharing your thoughts with us. We really appreciate the time you spent writing this feedback, it helps us a lot and gives us a better idea of what we can improve.

Thanks a lot!

We were already planning to rework the sprites and improve the levels, so that's definitely something we'll be working on.

Sadly, we just didn't have enough time before the jam ended. Our idea was to explain the controls and mechanics with holograms that appear in specifics points, while for the side effects, we wanted to show a small description when you select or hover them in the inventory.

As for the SFX, we'd really like to make them ourselves instead of using free ones, but we're still figuring out where to start.

Also, thanks for the encouragement! Seeing comments like this really motivates us to keep working on the game and to join more game jams. :)

Thanks for your feedback!

Sorry for those 20 failed attempts, making that platforming section take 20 tries was definitely not our intention. :0We're currently working on making the levels feel more like a Metroidvania. We're really happy that you enjoyed the music! Unfortunately, we weren't the ones who created it, but we plan to make music like that ourselves in the future.

We're also planning to redo all of the sprites, especially to address the issue of the map feeling a bit dull. We want to add more detail and make the environments more visually interesting.

About the character,we're still discussing whether to keep the character this small. We'd like to add flying enemies and more bosses, and we're worried that zooming in too much could make it harder to see enemies on screen during gameplay.

Thanks again for taking the time to play our game and share your thoughts. Your feedback is really valuable to us, and it will help us make the game better!

Thanks for the encouraging and detailed feedback!

We really appreciate the time you took to play our game and share your thoughts, since this was our first game project and our first game jam, we learned a lot throughout the development process.

The comments about level design and platform placement were really helpful!

That's something we're already revisiting, eventually we'd also like to add hidden areas and optional stuff for players to find, but we're still figuring out the right way to do that.

Regarding the power-ups, our original idea was actually to create an inventory system where players could carry items and assign a limited number of them to a quick-use bar, somewhat similar to how item management works in some Monster Hunter games. However, since it was a fairly complex system for our current skill level, we decided to postpone it and focus on finishing a playable game within the jam's time constraints.

Thanks again for taking the time to write all this, it really means a lot and keeps us motivated to keep going.
