Hi, I actually tried to stream your game on Monday but my stream crashed so I had to play off stream!
My game is a short 5-10 minute playthrough if you have the time! https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3935933
This is INSANE!! I don’t know how you managed to put this together in only 5 days, it looks so good and the controls and camera are very smooth. Also this hits on all my favorite horror themes! I love underwater horror (which you don’t see a ton of!) and abandoned facility horror. I also generally really like old sea diver suits, lol! Such an impressive project and absolutely a game I’ll be playing for fun after the jam is over. So impressed by this!!
A space game, NICE!! I love the simple low poly model for the spaceship, it really reminds of of games like Starfox 64, or the Star Wars Battlefront 2 space missions, and other classic spaceship games from that era. This honestly brought back a little nostalgia for me, remembering playing those older games!
This REALLY reminds me of a game I played last year called “Novena”! Both have a very uniquely simple style of conveying a very real, compelling, and at times depressing story. I’ve never seen another game like it until this was, so it was really cool to see that style again! Have to made games in this style before, or is this your first?
This is almost like Paper Please but as the grim reaper and with souls! Super fun and original idea! I had a lot of fun playing and I would really like to see development for this game continue after the game. I think the idea you have has potential and I would definitely keep working on it and hopefully get some more playtesters!
I’ve seen a few games this jam where you die and your body becomes a box to run or jump on, but this is the first one I’ve seen as a climbing game! I also like that as the levels progress, you need to be very intentional about the order you use your skeletons. Like the big skeleton that crumbles the smaller ones needs to be used at the right time, or you’ll need to restart the level. Clever game design, very well done!
Sure, I appreciate the feedback! Anything specific about the platformer movement, like speed, friction, jump height? I’d be happy to try adjusting any of those!
Also those are very good times! I’ve been really impressed with how fast people are able to run the levels, I don’t think I can get less than 7 seconds, lol.
There’s not much time left for us to rate each other’s games, so let’s keep it going right up to the end! Share your games here and rate other people’s too!
If you’re interested, my game is very fast paced and only takes a few minutes to play the whole thing! https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3935933
