I think we already rated each other, but if anyone hasn’t rated Until Then yet, go give it 5 stars right now!!!

Here’s mine too if anyons else has time, very short game! https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3935933

Hi, I actually tried to stream your game on Monday but my stream crashed so I had to play off stream!

My game is a short 5-10 minute playthrough if you have the time! https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3935933

My game is 3 ratings away from an even 50 if anyone would be so kind as to help me reach that goal!

My game can be played in under 10 minutes if you guys have time!

My game is like a 5 minute playthrough if you have time!!

When I first played this I assumed it was a team since the quality was so high, but I didn’t expect it to be only 2 people! You are both incredibly talented!

This is INSANE!! I don’t know how you managed to put this together in only 5 days, it looks so good and the controls and camera are very smooth. Also this hits on all my favorite horror themes! I love underwater horror (which you don’t see a ton of!) and abandoned facility horror. I also generally really like old sea diver suits, lol! Such an impressive project and absolutely a game I’ll be playing for fun after the jam is over. So impressed by this!!

A space game, NICE!! I love the simple low poly model for the spaceship, it really reminds of of games like Starfox 64, or the Star Wars Battlefront 2 space missions, and other classic spaceship games from that era. This honestly brought back a little nostalgia for me, remembering playing those older games!

Thanks for stopping by the stream, I appreciate it! Just checked out your game!

Really fun puzzle platformer game! I like that having both the spikes and the arrows gives you the option to form routes on both the ground and in the air. Gives the player a lot of interesting options for solving each level, nice work!

I actually already played Until Then, great game! I enjoyed playing it, you did a really great job!

Just played yours, great game! Excellent horror atmosphere!

This is super well done, very polished! Great story, great art and music, and very tense gameplay! The way the notes got progressively more concerning as you explore your house in the dark had me on the edge of my seat!

This REALLY reminds me of a game I played last year called “Novena”! Both have a very uniquely simple style of conveying a very real, compelling, and at times depressing story. I’ve never seen another game like it until this was, so it was really cool to see that style again! Have to made games in this style before, or is this your first?

This is almost like Paper Please but as the grim reaper and with souls! Super fun and original idea! I had a lot of fun playing and I would really like to see development for this game continue after the game. I think the idea you have has potential and I would definitely keep working on it and hopefully get some more playtesters!

I’ve seen a few games this jam where you die and your body becomes a box to run or jump on, but this is the first one I’ve seen as a climbing game! I also like that as the levels progress, you need to be very intentional about the order you use your skeletons. Like the big skeleton that crumbles the smaller ones needs to be used at the right time, or you’ll need to restart the level. Clever game design, very well done!

You went above and beyond with the hand drawn pixel art cutscenes at the start! I love that, really brings the game together! I haven’t seen another game with a soul launching mechanic like this one, that’s very unique and it makes for fun gameplay. Great work!

This was really fun to play, I enjoyed it a lot! The septic eye monster is SUPER creepy, great art for this game! I also like that you need to get the exact amount of resources and you can’t just blindly feed it everything, good game design!

Played and rated, you made a great game!

I love the mix of 2D and 3D, you executed it very well! This game is the perfect spooky game to play in October. I knew it was coming, but the first “Trick” house I got to still made me jump, lol. Nice work!

Just rated, very fun and spooky!

Love the Ducky Dev sticky note, lol. I also really like games that have a computer or a terminal where you type in commands, it always feels very cool to me! The lore and gameplay are great, I think you have a really fun and creepy environment that’s perfect for this jam’s theme!

Petrifact is great, just left a review!

The statue mechanic is a really good idea, excellent use of the theme! It fits so well visually with the environment you’ve built for this game. Also perfect name/logo/branding, I love a clever title for a game!

Sure, I appreciate the feedback! Anything specific about the platformer movement, like speed, friction, jump height? I’d be happy to try adjusting any of those!

Also those are very good times! I’ve been really impressed with how fast people are able to run the levels, I don’t think I can get less than 7 seconds, lol.

Thank you so much, glad you liked my game! And more levels are in development for after the jam is over!

Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed playing! And yes, I would like to add a lot more of those secrets in future levels, I thought it was a lot of fun!

Thanks so much! Game feel can be really hard to get right, so that compliment really means a lot!!

Thank you very much, I’m glad you liked all the art I made! It definitely took a long time!

That’s a good piece of feedback, I wasn’t thinking about the camera being too slow. I’ll add that to the list of things to patch in the next update, thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed playing!

Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed playing! There have been a lot of requests for more levels, so there will be more levels in the next update after the jam is over!

Thank you very much, more levels are in the works!

Thank you very much, I appreciate you saying that! A lot of people have been asking for more levels, so that’s what I’ll be working on after the jam!

There’s not much time left for us to rate each other’s games, so let’s keep it going right up to the end! Share your games here and rate other people’s too!

If you’re interested, my game is very fast paced and only takes a few minutes to play the whole thing! https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3935933

My game is a fast paced speedrunning game, you could easily finish it in 5-10 minutes!

GREAT puzzle game, this is excellent quality!! Perfect use of theme, great art and gameplay, and an amazing soundtrack! Did you make the music yourself??

This was fun to play! I think my favorite was playing as the bird, I liked the ranged attack a lot. Did you make all these assets yourself? They look great!

I’m a HUGE fan of the retro style! Love the pixel art, music, and the classic square aspect ratio, 10/10. Also the little animation for death looking around out his door is so funny to me, lol! This game made me happy, nice work!
