Hi, thanks for the in-depth response! I just played a bit of Pixel Room, glad to know a hidden gem. I'm still conflicted on whether to label the items or not since a lot of people have been asking for it, but also nice to see someone who appreciate the abstractness of it.

The tilting platform was a tricky one... I could've just made it a non-pixelated platform and let it move smoothly, but then it would ruin the pixel art aesthetics. I eventually opted for a pixelated look, but then as you said it take multiple clicks to see it visually moving. Hopefully people don't seem to be struggling much after I adjusted the difficulty.

Anyways thanks for the feedback :)

Hi! Glad to hear you liked the game despite some frustrations. At a basic level, the game is about collecting all three stars that unlock the door. Hence the game is also divided into three separate paths leading to them, making it a non-linear game. So the order of solving them would vary by players.

SPOILER BELOW

----------------------------------

You said you solved the fish puzzle, so I'm assuming you haven't got the other two items? You can get the plane by pressing the plane poster, which will make the plane appear through the window. The other one can be unlocked byfinding all the boat pieces.

Hope these are helpful!

SPOILER BELOW

---------------------------

1. Did you activate the fridge yet? If not, you need to connect all the wires and pipes to the fridge.

2. If yes, then I'm assuming you have the marble, which can be inserted in the dishwasher somehow.

Hope that helps!

Hi everyone! I just released a short escape room game called Scenic: The Apartment

It's a beautiful pixel-art escape room game set in a mysterious apartment. Find clues and solve puzzles to find your way out.

The room is presented across four frames, each depicting one of four sides of the wall. The limited perspective keeps puzzles focused and managable, encouraging careful observation while maintaining a satisfying sense of discovery

Note: this is a short slice of my game Scenic. It's not really a demo, but a fun standalone version that can be played on web. Let me know how it goes!

Congrats! :)

Developer here, can you tell me which stars you've cleared? (blue star, yellow star or green star). For the rest they are actually all related. I've written down the hints below.

SPOILER BELOW:

1) How to get the fish out from the tank

- You will solve this one later

2) Where to use the fish scroll code

- tap/press the fishes (fish, whale, shark) in the order written on the scroll

3) Where to get the third star

- which color stars have you cleared?

4) How to open the container next to the shark

- you will open it once you've cleared the scroll code

A few others also mentioned this so I made it a little easier... I just updated the game, hope you can try it again!

You need to turn on the PC as well, which is activated by the puzzle above the kitchen sink :)

The fridge numbers are the hint for the vault number code. Try to find a pattern/progression for those numbers vertically.

try to use the bike's rear wheel to lift up the crate

Thanks for the feedback! I haven't really found an elegant way of explaining the circles yet... but glad you found the rest enjoyable!

Awesome game, the chess community would love this.

Curious what the Haiku is :)

Also a more obvious hint (rot13): Gel gb chg obgu checyr neebjf ng gurve tbny jvgubhg univat nalguvat fhccbegvat gurz sebz orybj.

Honestly that hint is pretty vague so here's a second hint (rot13): Gur fbyhgvba fubhyq vaibyir chggvat obgu neebjf ng n snyyvat fgngr.

This is actually a great idea, wish there were more time/rhythm focused puzzlescript games like this :)

Happy to hear that haha

Solved!

I would appreciate a hint for level 8... been stuck there for months

Thanks for the nice comment! The game is actually releasing on Steam next week. It'll be joining the box-pushing fest as well.
