Brother… I wanted to enjoy the developing love between MC and Alvy to the fullest, so I saved Alvy’s route for almost THREE WEEKS so that I could play it by the fire on my ass when I didn’t have any coursework to worry about in the back of my mind. All my self-control, all my patience, and you give me… this? That ending?
My crashout measured 9 on the Richter scale, and proceeded to annihilate all life forms in a seventeen mile vicinity.
To be honest, I really think the main issue with the act is that it was poorly considered before being passed. Age restrictions on pornographic material is long overdue and undoubtedly required in order to protect the wellbeing of young people, but the blanket banning of anything vaguely NSFW is not the way to go about it. Although it’s been a mess on most levels, I do agree with the safeguarding side of it (speaking from the uk) because it has been extensively proven that modern pornography is bad, especially for developing minds. I hope that people are able to detach this matter from dogmatic conservatism, religion and the poorly made laws, because it is a serious issue no matter your political standpoint.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: please don’t feel guilty for focusing on your own life and goals! Although I do wish there was more to read, there are more important things in life than furry visual novels. Thanks for the update! And for what it’s worth, I think that you’ve made the right decision and trust that you’ll continue to do so.
Don’t mean to butt in here, but I know of people who experienced exactly the opposite. Being brought up in a fairly religious area, I’ve gone to school with people whose parents were orthodox Muslims and were forced to partake in polyamorous relationships against their will. The fact of the matter is that whatever you do it will likely step on the toes of someone else. No matter what you like, don’t let the opinions of those people take such a pedestal in your mind, it’ll make you go through life feeling as though you constantly have to defend yourself against others.
Okay, I just realised something INSANE… just hear me out for a second.
When I was about 12 years old I had an Alexa in my room. Stay with me here, there was thing called Sleep Sounds where you could ask her to play ambient noises like “River Sounds”, “Rainforest”, “Oscillating Fan”, etc. I had undiagnosed ADHD at the time so I often struggled to wind down at night, ergo I would use this feature quite frequently. A particular favourite of mine was “Beautiful Dream” which was a solo, mainly homophonic piano piece drenched in reverb. For about a month I would fall asleep to it pretty much every day.
Fast forward to when I first played this game last year, I remember arriving at Adastra after being kidnapped at the beginning of the game, entering the atrium with the marble statues for the first time, and hearing the song entitled “Reveal” from the OST. Immediately I was like “Why the f*ck does this sound so familiar?”, so I saved the song to my computer because I found it soothing and kinda nostalgic beyond just the harmony of the tune itself.
Fast forward to this year and I bring my Alexa back up into my room because A-Level exams are kicking my gay little ass and I needed to wind down. Asking her to open up Sleep Sounds again jogged my memory, and I realised that this was where I’d heard the song before. It seemed to have been removed from Alexa since I listened to it last, so I searched it up on YouTube. Lo and behold, the song “Beautiful Dream - Alexa Sleep Sounds” that I used to fall asleep to as a 12 year old is EXACTLY the same song that was used in that scene.

Can anybody shed some light on WHY TF lil’ 12 year old me was unknowingly falling asleep to the soundtrack of a gay furry VN? Cause the only other option I have here is that God himself predestined me to be a raging fluffy homosexual since my pre-pubescence.
I get that, but it’s obvious from the updates we have been given that this project wasn’t abandoned for no reason, and it’s clear than Rook intends to get back to it. They’ve had personal things to attend to. Why do we need any more information than that? If nothing has changed then there’s nothing more to be updated on anyways. Your comment wasn’t too bad in fairness, but if you scroll through the comments there are loads of people who are just being kinda disrespectful.
Not trying to have a go at you specifically here, but I’m seeing a lot of users complaining about how long this project is taking. Please remember that none of the people working on this project have any kind of obligation to us; we have been able to enjoy what exists of this amazing VN so far completely free of charge. From what I gather, the lead dev has had a plethora of personal, project related and educational matters to attend to over the last few years, all of which have contributed to the wait. I understand that people want to continue playing this VN, but quite frankly I think the snide remarks and backhanded jokes are unjustified. They clearly plan on picking it back up, so I’m more than happy to leave it at that and wait patiently for the next update, whenever it may come. Besides, I’d much rather they focus their efforts on pursuing their own personal goals than on writing something for my enjoyment, and I don’t expect them to have to justify that decision or explain in detail what they’ve been doing to me or anybody else. Again, this wasn’t directed at you specifically, it’s just something I’ve been noticing for a while that has progressively been getting on my wick.
Okay… Tate is very cute, but Alvy is straight up adorable. I feel like there’s a lot more to him than has been disclosed currently… beyond backstory, more so who he fundamentally is as a person and what fuels his choices and attitudes towards others, more specifically his compassion in the face of his past. I also think that this can also be said for MC though, minus the traumatic past. I think it’ll be really sweet to see Alvy begin to flourish now that he’s found the right boy for him. I get the feeling that MC will turn out to be a pretty pivotal turning point in his life. Looking forward to the next day!

What we’re searching for is true objectivity; making judgements without interference by emotions. Of course this is impossible, but it is something we should be aware of so that we can counteract it to some degree. I think the term ‘Unconscious Bias’ is overused today, but it is true that we all have them and we can’t let them cloud our judgement too much.

Not necessarily! Judgement can also be a result of a false schema that you hold. These can be learned through direct observation of the actions of others, but they can also be formed without firsthand or even real life experiences. If you were to show an animation of a dog biting someone to a child, they would equate such an experience with real life animals and go through life with the assumption that dogs were dangerous. As much as it is the responsibility of others to leave good impressions on us, it also falls on us to ensure that the impressions we create of others are reasonable in the first place, otherwise we are simply more likely to look for reinforcement for our previous beliefs than to create new ones.
Sissels route was the second VN I ever played after Adastra. I thought Adastra was great, but Repeat blew it out the water for me personally. I felt more connected to the MC and enjoyed the actual story more. In terms of romance visual novels, I actually use it as a benchmark to measure other VNs against. It was that good. Only other one that matches it is Dawn Chorus, but I’m fairly new around here so I’m hoping to find some other good reads :3

During the car chase when Owen, Phillip and the two debt collectors were flying by you and Sissel it referred to the two vehicles as “two cars”, but one of them was a motorcycle.
After manhandling Hershel out of his room Sissel says “I’m no good enough for this” (presuming you meant “not”).
Once again thanks for your continuous hard work on this VN, it’s definitely up there with some of the best ones on itch and in my personal top 3.
It was Arvo both times. He just said kinda the same thing to Mikko as he did to Rune. You might be right, he could be talking about the purpose and meaning of memories in our lives; timelines folding in on themselves as our minds bring up the events of moments passed in the present, affecting our current actions and thoughts, though the moments themselves are gone forever. That's quite cool to think about actually.
