I don't know it anti-aliasing is the right term, but yeah, they just look a bit blurry even at normal resolution. But I feel like it should still be sharp looking when scaled up to a whole number? like 2x, 3x, etc. 
For example, compare these two images: It has that semi-transparent outline, it also has mixed colours per pixel block? 

unforunately these all have blurriness / antialiasing pixels, which means if you scale the image up it looks blurry.
