Re-download the update file dude it fixed that for me

You can access the character relationship level tab through the quests icon on the top left. Also there is no way to improve existing magic. You can only get better cards through fighting enemies ig.

The game isn't loading for me after I updated it. It just stays on the loading screen.

Ah also you only need the blessing if you are going to fight with protego maxima. If you have protego diabolica then you don't need the blessing because she does about 10 damage each round and protego diabolica already gives 15 shield. Also remember to use multi target moves until you kill the snowman beside her then use the high damage spells.

Try reloading the world until you get a slot (the path on which you move through) that gives you the blessing which gives +2 shield each time you use a shield move. Now kill minor enemies until you get protego maxima (once you have protego maxima (gives +8 shield) and a good damaging spell you could aim for protego diabolica (gives +15 shield and is legendary) which makes the boss easy af but it's not necessary). Now go fight until you get sectumsempra (does 10 damage) or any move that does atleast 8 damage. Now you can fight the boss but remember to use all your defense moves in your deck first and chip her health away. Do not be greedy and take your time. This is how I beat it in the new garbage pve update. Hope this helps.

You can't get it back. You should have uploaded the previous save file to some cloud storage but even that doesn't give you back your pensive progress.

You first need to reset the journey world over and over until u get a blessing that gives us +2 defense each time up use a defense move like protego. The u need to have protego maxima or protego diabolical. After that you need high damaging spells like sectumsempra. Everytime you get protego in your deck you need to use it because she always does 9 to 10 damage. And using protego maxima with the blessing gives you 11 shield basically making you immortal. It took me 2 hours to beat the ice queen with 3 hp left because they made her way too difficult without having any upgrades. 

How are you supposed to beat the first boss? She is extremely difficult
