I love your art! I'll reach out to you. I'm not sure if I see a match here for this project, but we'll explore it. If not, I'd probably want to commission some other stuff from you. My partner's bday is coming up, for one, haha.

Ahoy! I think the big of art I can see looks really cool! However, I don't think I see a match here, but I'll keep you in mind for potential future projects!

Thanks for the reply! Love your projects on your profile. Not seeing indicators that you'd be a fit for this commission though. With love <3

Ahoy! I'm sorry, pixel art is not part of the direction here (it's in the first paragraph). Thanks for reaching out though <3

(1 edit)

Hi, I'm an indie developer working on REACH, a mobile puzzle game with a sci-fi / spacecraft-terminal aesthetic. Think dark interfaces, technical instrumentation, 1970s science fiction film energy (2001, Alien, No Man's Sky). No pixel art, no neon cyberpunk.

I'm looking for artist(s) for up to three separate commissions. These can be the same person or different people depending on fit.

Commission A: Mod & Glitch Badges + Banners

The bulk of the work. Every mod (upgrade) and glitch (debuff) in the game needs a badge: A small, distinct emblem that functions like a logo for that item and a banner background that the badge sits within. 25 mods and 19 glitches, so 88 files total. Mods use cool hues (blue/violet/green) by category. Glitches use warm hues (amber/orange/crimson) by type. Monochrome base + single accent color per asset. The badge needs to be uniquely recognizable at small-ish sizes.

Commission B: Currency Icons

Two currencies: Energy (with a single-unit form and a full-store form) and Chits (the shop currency). Small set, but these appear throughout the game so they need to be strong.

Commission C: Brand

REACH wordmark/logo, app icon, and splash screen. Different character from Commission A. More compositional, face-of-the-game work. May suit a different artist.

Style in one sentence: purpose-built spacecraft instrumentation brought into a digital interface. Technical, authoritative, but remember that science fiction is fiction.

Payment: flat rate agreed together upfront per commission. Not looking to lowball. If your work is good, we'll find a fair number.

Full briefs (with complete asset lists, specs, concept notes per item, and reference images) shared with serious candidates. Drop a reply or DM with a portfolio link and which commission(s) interest you, and we can get on with the back-room dealings.

Live long and prosper <3
