I think they're heavily nerfed now already, i tried the game recently and it didnt feel as bad.

I'd get rid of the gt 2000 or heavily edit it.

the grip of the car should get higher even while drifting, I dont wanna feel like driving on ice when going under 80 kmh.

the guardrails shouldn't slow you down that much its not fun.

edit: nevermind I think it was intentional to make the 60s japanese sports car bad.

thank you, yeah the cars are a little too oversteery.

the reason for it is that multiple functions are bundled together into too little nodes, which means that some calculations are more delayed than others. making the physics more floaty than they should be.

this was already fixed when I started working on the 3rd game 2 weeks ago.

porting the fixed back into this game will be impossible, since I lost the files for the game.

if you do want much more polished experience, I very much recommend the 2nd game, which is better in every single way.

that makes sense, I also considered switching to godot 3 for performance, I am not well versed with the breaking changes because my own project basically started in godot 4, anything that was a workaround felt like the norm, I will wait in anticipation for gdsim 2.

yes, the cars do have textures, however I am not sure of the polygon count.

good post, read all of it, its great. indie 3d development is difficult.

how did you implement this "stiction" thing you speak of?

the physics seem good but you need to stiffen up the suspension alot more, they're way too tailspin happy at high speeds, the traffic seem pretty impressive, and I can see potential, good luck man, love the vids.

it might seem a bit mean but i do have a very good reason for it, if I do take in suggestions, I will have alot of comments just going "yeah add this car that I like" or "add multipler", "add cops". "add customizable car parts", "a sticker editor".

completely disregarding any sort of merit a game might have, and isntead looking at it as if its some kind of content bag.

racing game fans suck, and I want my game to be the biggest f you imaginable to them, I have something in the works that'll do exactly that.

so yeah, if something like that makes not want to support me, so be it, was never making this game for money to begin with, and I dont wanna attract those people.
