Yeah exactly! I rotate a single sprite and normal map by a index. Then add a script to fix the normals from the cached rotations, since the normals on the original are static.
Thought id share my take on using generated asteroids by creating a atlas with cached rotations, normalmaps and subdivided chunkpieces.
Got my own system, but im still hoping for height or normal maps being a possibility in the future for this program! Thank you for making my gamemaking hobby easier
I tried implementing some amazing results from your plugin into my Love2D game with some hand-made normal maps... I got my own"import to blender - model the pixel art - shade with normalmap" pipeline, but indeed, adding normalmaps or height maps to the plugin would create alot of possibilities!
Have you thought of implementing height or normal maps to the shapes? I could imagine it would be hard since its not a 3D object, but it would lift the possibilities of the use-cases alot! Thanks if you find time to answer - Amazing tool, props!
