Aww thank you for such high praise! It really means a lot! <3

I think that's exactly how god intended for this to be played. Thanks for playing and the feedback!

You're welcome and thank you for the save scumming tip! I was happy to see there is a save system at all and that I didn't lose my hard earned bucks from the last session. There's just something really interesting about the overall vibe of this game so in the end I'm glad I got to come back to it. I hope the debt collector guy enjoys his 70k bonus. xd

Hah what a fun idea, I enjoyed this :D

The fact check card is peak

Won't spoil it for the others but the line about a particular someone giving you money made me burst out laughing:D really fun, really well written! The voice over made me feel nostalgic for Czech movies (or maybe it was my memories of Mafia's great lines), it just had that properly Czech vibe :)

Well that was unsettling, but also interesting, the unpredictability got a chuckle out of me. The gambling wasn't much of a gamble though, as I only ever got double money or lost half of it, so I basically got stuck in an infinite loop, and the jobs don't give enough money to affect much.

Nice, the instruction illustrations are really funny:D

Ohh this is incredible, I definitely didn't expect that! What a great experience, from the main mechanic to the art, everything worked. I really really love the way you painted the horse, it reminded me of Der Blaue Reiter, especially Franz Marc's horses and the way he painted animals with such love:)

Wow I know everyone already said it, but this looks very polished! Both the visuals and the gameplay are really coherent and it feels great to play. Compliments to the chefs.

This concept is incredibly fun! It reminded me of completing Papyrus' puzzles in Undertale and also of the narrator in The Stanley Parable. I could totally imagine this as a larger game, it's really entertaining and creative :D

Also, Jeff's face is GORGEOUS.

Hah the debuffs are really funny, I couldn't even be mad to get one. Kudos to the illustrator for the lovely art!

Bluescreen Boner is terrifying btw T.T fun game

Sans looks different than I remember

LOL

Just like in real life xd

Thanks for playing!

the peakest <3

A friend of mine reported the same thing about text getting covered by the cards, which is a bug unfortunately:( Thanks for playing!

Ooh what a fun idea, nice job guys! The controls felt super smooth and I loved the little details like the duck and being able to control the radio, which I always love in video games. The art style is lovely, the animals all look very cute:)

The letters at the end of each day were hilarious, sweet and nicely written. They made my experience of sending everyone to random places even more enjoyable. I somehow managed to pass with flying colors, so I got to keep both the roof above my head and my job :D

Visually, the game is really compact and consistent. I'm a sucker for this type of aesthetic so I enjoyed that a lot! Felt just like jumping into a PS2 game.

I also liked that there was a whole story and a clear goal, though I wasn't able to get very far as Fernando kept kicking my hide:)) Oh well, fortune can't favor everyone.

Whew, the sound of that cross is going to haunt me for a while >.<

I dig the overall vibe here, the atmosphere made me tense up and I felt like looking over my shoulder every time I started digging.  I was only a little confused by the ending as I didn't know that you're supposed to go back to the spawn point, but otherwise it felt like a complete game.

Glad you liked it:))

Thank you so much!^^

Oh man the lore of this is really interesting! I had no idea that was a thing so excuse me while I go into that particular Wikipedia rabbit hole. You nailed the bleak atmosphere and the art direction was top notch, kudos for that super pretty background.

Unfortunately I couldn't figure out the mechanics and I wasn't sure where I was, so I'm going to give it another spin (haha get it) when I get home. Cool game!

Hah so the Lego piece is insane, I only decided to try it out for the first time when I came around to the the last round, making it my opener for the čert, so it was really funny to see him obliterated:D

I love this spin on Czech fairy tales, I don't think I've ever seen a fighting game done with them and the idea of using toys to defend yourself is just charming. The art style was really nice (the toys look cute, the doll's design was my favorite). Also props for having both a Czech and English version, that was really nice.

Cool art style, love that you went for hand drawn animations

What a sweet way to interpret the theme. The only thing missing for me were maybe more ambiguous choices/branches because it was obvious which were the correct ones and nothing was stopping me from picking them, but I liked the idea of the game and Audrey's design!

Hiya, artist here. I'm really glad that you liked the visuals! The ending got a little goofed up, it's supposed to say "Don't forget..." and "Fortune favors the bold" after. Unfortunately we didn't have time to update the build, but we're glad you finished our game :)

+ Sorry you had to sell your kidney.

I really liked this one! The mirror mechanic fit the vibe of a Czech fairytale really well, and it's great that you leaned into how scary these tales can be. I actually finished the game without bumping into any creature at all, so I guess cutscene Maruška was just being dramatic:D

Nice work on the horror aspect, I was stressed out because of the low visibility and sound effects which made for a very unnerving atmosphere. I also liked how the heartbeat sound made the candle mechanic so intuitive, plus the overall visuals of the game were pleasant.

Finally played this and wow, I loved how you tackled the theme - you could genuinely feel the mental downward spiral with each new case. Great story, great art. (I love the loading screen guy!)

Awesome paper physics btw. And the hammer :))

(1 edit)

Good point! I had a similar idea, but forgot during all the chaos T.T Oh well, the cursed bread lives on in our imaginations.

Thanks for playing:)

spiderman, spiderman

cleans whatever a spider can

Good luck and np! I enjoyed playing:)

Surprisingly relaxing game, felt like floating in space.

I think the crashing might be related to the long pointy pieces? I can play just fine for a long while without them, but when one gets attached to me, the game always crashes after a few secs.

Really cool idea. I only wish there was more interactivity, but I liked that you could immerse yourself in the story.

Yummy illustration btw!

Burger buns kept falling through my plate. Then I lost that plate in the infinite void of the kitchen counter's insides. A rat launched itself into the air, ballistic-missile style, as I fell into despair, accepting my fate as a total culinary zero.

10/10, would feel the chaos of kitchen life again. This was fun!:D

Awesome, the controls feel really smooth.

One can only strive to have a name as glorious as Shplongus.

Awesome visuals! Felt very trippy combined with the music, loved the overall vibe and concept. I was unsure if white counted as a color and hesitated to shoot the last couple because I didn't want to lose my progress, but figured it out in the end. Would totally play this as a bigger game.

The easter egg billboard was genius:)
