There’s not a specific part I can remember, I just had to stop after getting pretty far and going back to the beginning.

I think the twist on multiple jumps is very interesting! landing on platforms only restores a single charge, therefore you have to manage your jumps! However, the game is way too hard and there are multiple bugs I found that reduced the experience.

On the level where the swapping platforms show up, I managed to clip my character into the ground buy swapping platforms when i was inside of one.

The biggest issue I had though is the difficulty. Its not hard in a celeste-style sense where the difficulty feels intentional. When I die, it was usually because the hitbox on spike platforms/walls was too big or it felt like I didn’t actually hit it. I also wasn’t aware you could only jump two times in the air despite having 5 stored charges, which led to a bit of frustration until the realization. The clinging to the wall also feels really weird and janky, which im not sure if it was intentional in the first place.

While its an interesting concept and there are some areas that feel good, it comes off as a bit half baked. Which since this is a game jam game and you had a very short amount of time, Is a bit understandable.

Really cool concept and lots of charm! I only wish there were more levels after the third one. There are a few graphics slips I noticed, though. On level 1, the yarn ball clips under the red carpet. And on the third level, there is a stray tilemap piece just on the bottom right of the screen. The green carpet also clips over the yarn.

Although rough around the edges. This game really had a ton of potential! It’s a very novel concept and I really like the stylized art.

Pretty fun! could use some checkpoints, though.

I want to keep being patient, but it’s been a little under two months since the jam ended, and a month since the last status update, and I haven’t gotten any feedback or video and I’m not sure if anyone else has either. Apologies, but I’m starting to get a bit impatient.

I love the art! But I can’t get into the game without it crashing and freezing on me. I can get past the start menu but once my character takes a bite of food it breaks.

Thank you :D apologies about the movement, I originally went with a capsule for the movement, since I saw a video saying boxes can clip between tiles on the ground, but I used a composite collider so it shouldn’t have been an issue to use a box. I will look into using one next time!

I’ve gotten a few critiques of the floaty jumps from various, I didn’t want to tweak it on itch since it was for a game jam. I did tweak the newgrounds version though if you would like to try it there! The gravity has been tuned more in that version.

Thank you for the compliments on the visuals! I was not sure what people would think of them.

Thank you! There’s a bit of inspiration from The Binding of Isaac (along with the hearts too, if it wasn’t noticeable)

Eye of newt, I cast a hex on you! Grandma’s wig, this will make you big! Kitten spit, soon your pants won’t fit! Pantalonius Giganticus!

Most games of this genre (like sort the court, for example) don’t tell you what the outcome of your action are going to be. You have to rely on intuition and hoping that what the person asks you for won’t blow up in your face

Nice!

I really like this one! The art has a charm to it, The gameplay is fun (reminds me of that undertale undyne fight.) Very nice!
