we had plans to add more hints but we ran out of time...for the gluttony one, there was a big hole in his stomach but it was too dark to see clearly. we're planning on doing much more with it in the future. thanks for playing though! i didnt think we would get any more comments after the jam lol

hey thanks for the shoutout, we're super flattered :) we just pushed a small patch to fix a few things, and theres a bit more to see now.  we're planning on continuing development if anyone is interested!

thank you! :)

thank you!!

thank you! your game was great also :)

thank you!! :D

kinda gives me SOMA vibes. really impressed you were able to do this in 5 days, you're very talented! :D

we're already making plans to continue development, we have tons to work on! thank you for playing :D

thank you!

thank you! im glad you liked it :)

this in incredibly well done for something that was made in 5 days,  i really love this. the sound design is incredible, easily the best i've seen so far, and the voice acting is super solid too. i dont know if this is based on or inspired by something, but i don't think that i've seen anything like this before, its a very cool concept and i think that if it were a full length game it could be very special. you've got all 5 stars from me, i would love to see more!

immaculate comment. thanks for playing!

the info that we posted on the itch page was supposed to be on a clipboard that you could read in game, but we didnt have time to implement it lol. we're going to streamline some things in a future release. thank you for playing!!

thank you! :D

thanks for playing! :)

we're planning on addressing some of the confusing parts in a future release, thanks for playing!

it means a lot that you continued to play even after being stuck for 10 minutes, lol. thanks for playing!

you're not the only one lol, thanks for playing!!

yeah we've had a lot of people say that they were confused, i think we really needed one more day to debug/tweak some things. on the plus side, we're going to continue development soon and we've got lots of great feedback to work with now. thanks for playing!! :)

yeah we wanted to do more to improve the game loop but we ran out of time, we've got lots of ideas planned out to try soon...thanks for playing!

we should probably add a cap to how much you can type on the computer lmao. thanks for playing!

the audio seems to be bugged in the export for some reason, im not sure why :( thank you for playing!!

we are already making plans to continue development! thanks for playing :)

oh man this was awesome, it might be my favorite game so far. its such a simple concept buts its really unique, i would love to see more stuff like this. at first, i wanted to complain that the controls were kinda janky, but i think it actually added to the unease and discomfort because its easy to accidentally go the wrong direction. im not sure if you did that intentionally, but if you did, good job!

the graphics and sound design are amazing as well, this honestly feels really polished for only 5 days. you should be super proud!

i know everyone else is saying this but the voice acting is probably the best that i've heard from this jam so far. really neat concept as well! very impressive for 5 days

super cool take on the theme. this definitely stands out from a lot of the other games ive seen in the jam, i would love to see more :D graphics look great too

great interpretation of the theme, and i love the graphics too! i had two of the npcs fighting each other at one point so i just sat and watched <: good times

super cute concept, i would totally love a full length game like this :D keep it up!

very very cool! love the concept, i spent quite a while playing it. would love to see more :)

heres our point and click surreal/horror game:https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937269

i'll try to play as many as i can when i get home tonight! 5 stars if your game genuinely scares me :D

All of those things were on the todo list but we ran out of time sadly :( thank you for playing!

thank you! thats the vibe we were going for :)

thank you! :D

(1 edit)

I think its just a mix of nostalgia and being more eerie/uncanny. I don't know if they're necessarily easier to implement, but it can be easier to get away with laziness since the color banding/dithering will sometimes hide flaws that you would otherwise notice

thank you for playing! :)

thank you!

the web export has some audio issues apparently, the background ambience doesnt loop properly. thank you for playing!!

thank you that means a lot! :D we are already making plans to continue developing it!

Love the visuals and the fast-paced gameplay. Keep it up :D

this might be my favorite submission so far! the sounds, visuals and environment are all really great, this feels super polished for only 5 days. very good job!!

interesting concept, i don't think that i've ever seen a game like this before lol. its got a nice charm to it. good job!
