yeeeeyyyyy :3

Hey, thanks a lot!

Hell yeah, I actually ended up liking how fast the green one is lol, though it definitely needs some more polish, especially the deceleration. I kind of gave up tweaking that because I thought it was good enough, and I didn't have time to get more feedback between that update and the jam deadline. (Hell yeah, it used to be even faster.)

Damn, I actually know exactly what causes that in the code now that you mention it. I don't think I'll remake the game from scratch, but I'll probably end up making a less buggy version in the future.

I'm glad you liked the purple one :3 Fun fact: that mechanic was totally inspired by the golden shield from Hollow Knight.

I get it. I really should have included multiple control schemes, but I ended up going with the quickest option, mostly because I don't have a mouse and do everything on a laptop. So I don't really like playing with the blue one myself, but I thought it would be interesting to include. And regarding the screen rotation, yeah, I still need to do more testing to figure out the best approach, though I personally kind of liked it.

Oh, I had no idea people avoided downloading files like that. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll definitely look into making a web version later.

Thanks again, and yeah, it's definitely far from perfect lol.

One thing I really want to do if I keep working on the project is give it a proper narrative, since the game basically has no story right now.

=3=

Yeah, I genuinely liked the result and am considering moving forward with the idea. But if I make an improved version of Revenge Eater, I’d definitely focus more on making the movement fun and giving both the player and the opponents health bars. Those are things I basically skipped because I was told the game was already fine as-is, considering the scope of the project

:3

Yeah, it seems to have worked. Thanks a lot :3

First of all, yes, I was extremely irresponsible to join a game jam with only three days left, and yes, I definitely shouldn't have waited until the last half-hour to submit the project. The fact remains, however, that the game would have been submitted normally if the program hadn't decided—for no apparent reason—not to export my file. Anyway, I can provide the project files and creation dates if necessary. If nothing can be done, I understand the game jam's limits and rules, and I appreciate the opportunity to create something based on the proposed theme. Have a nice day.

What a shame, did you try to install it? My notebook is pretty bad and it runner fine, the game is very light

unfortunately no, I tried to export it here and it was buggy, sprites the wrong size, no music etc, you can't see the enemy coming, I'm sorry, here's the link if you want to check it out https://noite-agridoce-beta-web.netlify.app
