Thanks for playing! I somewhat intentionally set combat pretty easy just so people could just get the feel of how the enemies operate. Since the main reason its so easy is the fact that Jim Bag basically always keeps your health topped off. Lets just say if Vedal plays the game with Neuro down the line, he may find Neuro controlling Jim potentially less cooperative c:
just a reminder to anyone else reading this comment and discovering there's a web version, feel free to play that one if you aren't comfortable with downloading the game, but please do not rate the game based on just that, because that was created after the game jam ended. While it is the same game with no updates, I can't really prove that. So only rate the game if ya downloaded it please. Thanks!
swarm was a public asset pack i had made c: so if you wanna use em in the future they can be found at https://maliththeoldman.itch.io/neuro-sama-swarm-pixel-assets
yea, thats a very sensible suggestion. since its a game jam, i figured i didn't want it to get annoying to keep fighting the same enemies if you get lost and backtrack a lot through the same rooms, so I just left combat optional for now. But I can absolutely add doors that delete only once the room is cleared ^_^
Concept looks interesting and I like that its a Vedal vs Neuro game, but I cant figure out what I'm even trying to do as Vedal. There seems to be a bar, and it arbitrarily is up or down sometimes, and I can't even tell which half is the "filled" half. A little more clarity on that aspect would probably be helpful for if Vedal plays it
It's not just you, I had a tester or two who also had this problem. Windows Security doesnt like my game for some reason, so to download it you gotta in Windows Security -> Virus and Threat Protection -> Manage Settings and turn off Real Time Protection. And for whatever reason that stupid setting also says it turns itself back on after a short time automatically
It doesn't usually do this with my Gamemaker games, so if I had to guess, it might be because theres assets with names related to hacking? I honestly couldn't tell you why else there would be a problem with this project specifically and not my other ones
I don't quite understand the game to be honest. I've figured out that you need to find the turtle before you make it to the bottom, but I also dont know how to fix the situation when I get a checkpoint that is too far down to reach him anymore. Also does the top right timer do anything when it runs out?
