a lot of what I do is look at open source materials. I said honestly anytime I’ve been asked that I use qwen 3 mainly which is an LLM coding agent that runs offline on my pc. No data center connection. If you’d like to look into that look up something like “qwen offline via ollama and opencode” that should get ya some details.  I use it to aid me in writing things,  for the shimmer engine for example. A lot of ideas come from you all and I try and find open source solutions in software I use and  enjoy or just know of. That said I have used Claude as well. I know a lot about what I’m doing but no one knows everything. The things I could not figure out, I got help that way. I don’t view it the same as say generating an image. An image is stolen work no matter how it’s generated. It uses something someone else made as a source without asking. As for code, there a finite amount of ways something can be written in code. Lots of ways sure but it’s using logical strings to get to the goal, not stealing someone’s humanity put into a visual medium. As for the game though I’ve started this project like 30x over the years (dies inside a bit) I even have a fully 3d version I’ve made that I just don’t know how to distribute as it’s an actual full fledged game. It has ps1 style gfx.    I understand some may not like that I have used ai even a little. I don’t judge them for that. Anyways I hope this has been some clarity and honest enough for you about how I do things. I write it and get help here and there. Oh also I’m a stay at home dad who has a massive amount of free time so that helps.

I used pyrite 64 it’s a game maker for n64. Converted the assets and removed A LOT from the original game so that they would work for the 64. Of course it’s way more technically involved than that but pyrite is where I’d start!

Ill look into those! My health hasnt been great lately so updates may slow a bit. Ty for your support. It means a lot. Im a stay at home dad so I dont make money, so when someone donates it means the world to me and is such a blessing.

there’s always dual booting too!

Glad you’re here! I write ALL feedback down that I can so that I can make everyone as happy as I can and the tool as best it can be within my power.

Dang, I thought I fixed that issue. I had that issue before and did some things to fix that but I guess not fully. I'll see what I can do!

gotcha!

I’ll work on these :)

that’s the goal!

lol

I will look into it but I can’t make any promises :) haha

Mac and Linux are supported.  If you mean lower editions of windows I can see about it but I’m unsure about that.

much love!

yw!

Indeed. I thought about how the gba had carts that had cartoons on them.  I figured why not see if we can too!

yw!

both have been added n pushed. update to get these changes

I have fixed it best i can tell. ty for the feedback

I’ve found the issue! Fixing it now!

i dont seem to have this issue on my end. what operating system are you on?

Let me see what I can do!

hm I’ve not experienced this. I will check this asap.

ill look into it!

That's great! Any theme ideas you have let me know! I want to add more.

there is already a launch projectile script. You can use it to fake punches and swords etc. keep the projectile lifespan low and make sure to get the origin where you’d like then you can even shoot invisible ones over short distance to fake punching as long as the animation matches

you’re welcome! Do keep giving notes and give feedback :) I can only do and catch so much with my own eyes.

Much love! Linux and Mac versions out now! no more wine for you hopefullly. let me know if they work as I am unable to test them. I can only go off the build and rom build being proper.

Also check the dev log though I cannot see it at the time of typing this.

No worries!  but yeah I’ve not had this issue. Can you tell me your specs and windows version? perhaps I can dig further into it. I will see what all I need to do to compile a Linux version.

Thanks for the suggestion. Feel free to always suggest Ideas. I pushed a quick hotfix with the ability to disable and enable code blocks via a right click option!

Hello friend, I pushed an update. Not sure that it will speed up your end but I thought id let ya know.

New update :) see dev log for changes.

Hello friend, I have added your requested feature! However it is a / at the end of the name as opposed to the beginning. Check the devlog for a list of fixes and changes I have done.

I’ve not had anyone tell me it is slow tbh. The initial screen does take a second or so to load the entire app. After that it shouldn’t be slow and in my own experience it hasn’t been. I’m sorry that happened to you. I will look into methods to potentially speed the app up. Thank you for the feedback and giving your time to try and use it. Perhaps soon it will be satisfactory for you.

I have never seen this feature of GB Studio until I tried it, after reading this comment! I will add this to my list. Very useful comment so thank you!

Appreciate the support! I have an update coming soon and I'll start doing actual devlogs with goals and goals met per update as well.
