Thanks! Yeah it's annoying. I used avian2d for the physics and the hose setup is mostly the same as in their chain example: https://github.com/Jondolf/avian/blob/main/crates%2Favian2d%2Fexamples%2Fchain_2...

Not sure if i did something wrong or if that's just the limitation of avian... 

Great input, i mkght try that! Althogh i think the super minimalistic look also has something to it. 

Thanks for playing the game! That would indeed be nice but i had to disable collision between water and obstacles as otherwise you couldn't reach flames that were on an obstacle.

Still not quite sure where the lag is coming from, i'll take a look and update the game after the rating period. 

It was on the nativ windows build, the web build works great!

I'm getting a 'RequestDeviceError' when i try to run the game unfortunately.

Yeah i agree, i just ran out of time unfortunately. I think flames are not properly despawned or get spammed for some reason which would explain the performance issue.
