There's a few actually! Trademarks are sorted by category here in the US. And very similar marks / names can exist in different categories.
This isn't a clothing brand. And our marks looking nothing alike.
While i understand the concern, This phrasing for anti-ai marks is more than fine. I didn't know they existed until your comment actually. Trademarks are to help consumers avoid confusion, if anything this is likely helping their brand as folks google what human made means when they find it on products and such.

the images on the project page should be for the new edition, which is horizontal A5. This updated happened around jan 2026. We do prioritize the print edition, which now benefits from this format by laying on the table without having to be held down by any hands. (It also allows for the book to be on the table with the hex kit made for miru)
The digital edition doesn't necessarily have to be printed to be used. The ideal format would be to print it on an 11x17 (tabloid) and cutting it down from there. printing on letter/A4 and stapling the spine is also an option. Sorry the sizing wasn't more apparent, I do have a note on the project page about it's size, along with the sample images. If there's more I can do to make that apparent, please let me know!
I think it's an issue with how affinity exports PDFs and I think they only focus on making everything work with Adobe reader. Though it looks fine in chrome to me! I don't have any issues on my end with any of the PDFs in the files, so it's hard to replicate what is going on with y'alls. maybe the file had an issue being downloaded? try to download a fresh file and restart your computer.
Heya Zorshaan! Sorry for the delay! If you backed and haven' gotten your copy yet, it's likely because you had a preference to get the vertical edition of miru 3, which is still being put together. (I've had to basically rewrite most of the story to fit that format) and it's taken more time than i'd like. (down to about 8 pages left tho, hope is i'm shipping it out by end of may) It does include the digital edition! (via a QR code in the book, but send me an email with your backer number/email you used on KS and I can send you a link)
hiya subatomic! I think i answered this on discord, but so others who read this know the answer to this question i'll answer here too.
You always place the quest token out on the right tile. In this case it wants a very specific event tile. If it's not in your world deck (the stack of tiles you draw from) or the general terrain pile (the stack that hasn't been included in the world deck yet) then that event is somewhere on your map, so instead of flipping all the grassland tiles you have making your map a mess, i jus thought, no need to remember, just use a blank grassland tile. In your case, you happen to know which tile is Grassland R2 cause the badge was placed there. You should place the quest token on that same tile. (i'll see if i can rework some wording on that in the hex kit to make it more clear) there's an odd balance when writing for intention and clarity and often (like this whole paragraph lol) it takes too many words to explain all possible situations. sorry for any confusion! thank you for asking questions! happy to answer them!
A restock is actually on its way to Peregrine Coast Press! (for all 3 books!) They're our only EU/UK retailer that wholesales through us. Any other stores that carry our games, would be going through IPR, but who buys games is not something they openly give out, so I couldn't point you to the right folks unfortunately there!
hmm i'm not sure i understand.
The physical edition has a QR code to download the digital version from here on itch!
The zip file here includes a low ink and a full color PDF.
You may have to mess with your printer settings or Adobe Acrobat, but printing as a 'booklet' is usually an option somewhere.

(i tried to offer this version in the past where I exported it like this, but WAY too many people were confused by it, and I can't handle an inbox of confusion that much)
ah, sorry JulianuxRex!
My philosophy on pricing games, I aim for affordability (I suppose from an american USD perspective tho) while other creators charge more for digital copies ($15+) but also offer free options. I instead choose to make it $5 for everyone. I do subscribe to the idea that my time and effort and creativity is worth *something*, I feel that's a fair statement to make. I understand why others offer community copies, i subscribe to a different way. Sorry! Maybe a friend can lend you their copy.
hmm interesting, i do use 'images' and 'art' a lot here.
What would be a better word you think?
My intentions with this are to cover anything creative. I wonder if someone would purposely use ai to write, but use public domain art and try to claim the right to use this icon. Seems like they missed the message. Would wording change the actions of this kind of person? If so, we gotta find the right word!
You can play MIRU with multiple people by collectively deciding together the decisions in the game. (The story only follows one person) I think it'd harder trying to navigate multiple people's directions. Would probably feel more like interactive story time than the initial intention. but that is it's own kind of fun!
Sorry for the disappointing format changes! I've moved completely over to horizontal layouts from here on. It gives the book a place on the table and more easily stays open. Moving to square binding was also great, giving us the extra 10 or so pages needed for better rules explanations. For every change I made, there was a dozen or more complaints prior and the changes fix these. The one thing I can't change is how easier it was to print A5 vertically. I do think of digital editions as a bonus to the physicals, and so I don't prioritize them. I just can't make a living through digital/pnp. I did update all past editions to horizontal, so that's consistent. I promised a handful of KS backers a vertical M3, but it will take some serious trimming to get it to fit to 50 pages. I likely won't include it in the zip so folks don't get confused on which to print/reference. but if folks reach out i don't mind emailing a copy. (I also got too many emails being confused on how to print the booklet edition you mentioned. i prefer that too, should be a simple hit print situation, but after 20+ emails i had to change it)
Best way to print the horizontal editions is on a bigger paper like 11x17, i know most printers can't handle that. but that'll get the right proportions without any stretching. Or on letter one page at a time, with a staple in the corner. again sorry for the changes! The print edition looks beautiful on the table and can stay open without using any hands! worth the trouble in my opinion.
my gameplan with pondus and folks who supported anything here, would get a coupon for what they spent. (up to $15) coupon would be for the mimic shop, during the preorder stage after a kickstarter campaign. so not double buying, but would require more funds to purchase the physical edition (i'm aiming for $40 during preorders, msrp will likely be $50-60). but this is likely another year out to be honest. We're trying to aim for the Kickstarter "witchstarter" promotion during an october, and our past kickstarter was delayed enough we feel weird starting another one a month before the old one delivers. Aiming for 2026, will need to go through and update the page a bit.
I would recommend folks print each page out on it's own and staple it in the corner. I've put the 'booklet' version up before but it creates a lot of confusion for folks. some printers can't print it right. Horizontal A5 is def a weird size for at home pnp. I tried to make the game simple enough so one just needs to print the character sheet/map, keep the game digital. hard to make it work for everyone.
no overstep. good imitative. been wanting to compile a site or something with products/creators who have printed/published something with the icon. I'm not quite tech savvy enough to make that work and not take up every waking moment of my day. but would be cool to see a weblink or something of folks's work.
