Hello everyone.

We’re excited to announce that the first Vertical Slice Demo of City God Alice is finally complete.
This version was originally prepared for the Japanese online exhibition INDIE GAME WEB EVENT “MY GAME FES” Vol.3, and was initially released with Japanese support only.

After the announcement went live on our itch.io page, we received many requests from players who were hoping for an English version. At the same time, we also noticed a growing number of English-speaking visitors on our Steam store page, which truly surprised and encouraged us. Because of this, we took the opportunity to urgently add full English support to the demo, allowing more players to experience the world of City God Alice.

At present, some of the localization and translations are still being refined (such as the cover image, certain UI labels, and tutorial triggers), but this does not affect the core story or gameplay experience. As a vertical slice, the current build includes:

  • One complete escape-room-style puzzle stage

  • A partial gameplay demonstration of the combat system

This version is not a full demo, but a focused milestone build designed to verify the core gameplay direction, narrative pacing, and overall atmosphere. Before the version that includes all major core systems is officially released, we will continue using this vertical slice as our development base, steadily expanding and polishing the game from here.

We sincerely invite you to try this demo and would greatly appreciate any thoughts, feedback, or suggestions you may have.
Every piece of feedback is extremely important to us and will directly influence future development decisions.
If you enjoy the style and direction of City God Alice, we would also be deeply grateful if you added the game to your Steam Wishlist—it would mean a lot to our team.

Thanks for your interest!

If you’re referring to the English version on this platform, it will likely be available about 2 months later.

As for the Steam demo, the English version (together with all 5 supported languages) is planned to launch in about five months.

Really appreciate your support!

(Apologies for the delayed response — since my account was just created, the reply feature was temporarily restricted, so I wasn’t able to get back to you right away.)

Sorry about that — this is my first time using this forum.
I’ll take another look and see how to adjust my post. Thank you for letting me know.

Hello everyone,

The Steam store page for City God Alice is finally live. Over the past few days, our team has been busy with ongoing development work and various exhibition applications. Despite the tight schedule, progress has been steady.

We are currently editing a short 90-second teaser trailer.

Even with limited early-stage materials, our goal is to keep the video concise while still giving players a clear impression of the core systems and gameplay experience they will encounter in the final game. Once the trailer is ready, we will update it on this page as soon as possible.

Our turn-based battle system — one of the key components of the game — is also under intensive development. We are working hard on polishing the details and hope to prepare a playable section for an offline exhibition scheduled for mid-December.

Thank you for visiting the page and following our early progress.

Your support means a great deal to us, and we look forward to sharing more development updates in the future.
