Hey, thanks for playing and I always believe that games are about fun more than anything, so I'm happy you had fun playing it!

Hey Waldorf! I'm glad you had fun playing the game! It seems that the gameplay shift was rather jarring for several players, but I thought that it really fits in with the jam theme, and also the overall transformation of the main character's 'situation'. I made the action part from scratch with eventing and it worked surprisingly better than I thought, though there were a few issues. As for the final part, I was more worried that players might not know what they were supposed to do, but it seems the hints were sufficiently clear enough based on what I've seen. And the purpose of the menu during that part is definitely easy to miss, but yea I really didnt want to straight up tell the player what they need to do for that part. Again, thanks for streeming the game and I really like seeing ppl have fun playing my stuff!

P.S. I havent played it, but I have seen people stream your jam game and it was amazingly creative!

Some of the other games in this jam had the same general premise (two people on a journey to save everyone), but this had a pleasant visual novel presentation and having the map is very nice! I've played a couple of  fairy tale type of visual novels before and I think this game gets the vibe down pretty well. A good read!

I saw the final meme coming from a mile away... However, nothing could prepare me for the cutscene, it was peayond expectations

i was looking for something easy to play, and this game's screenshots immediately indicated that it was a pacman game. So I tried it. It was easier than regular pacman since enemies in rpgmaker tend to stop moving when they are out of the screen, but I found the story to be pretty funny. Only problem was that the instructions before each level starts fade out too fast for me to read the entire thing. Thanks for submitting a nice and simple game!

I got caught off guard and thought minesweeper would be easy, but it was kinda tough. For one, there is no 'first move is always safe' mechanic here which normal minesweeper has. My luck was bad in the first part but I got lucky in level 2 when there was 0 liars. But that also means I missed out on level 2's mechanic? I don't know how I got past level 3 but I feel like it could potentially be very hard!

hey, thanks for playing the game! I'm happy that you liked playing it, despite the dying and all! Since saving is allowed, I think it would actually take longer in some cases to respawn than to reload the save, so I kept it as is. Again, thanks for playing and leaving a comment!

nice little short rpg, i liked the final part. although, due to the tough battles I had to return to the cabin to heal after every fight. well i suppose this is pretty typical for rpgs with fixed encounters.

well i feel kinda bad for him and his family. the sad thing is, this isnt even the first time i seen an rpg maker game go like this

There was one fight that was terribly long, becuase it gave me ballet twins ptsd. Gosh i almost died there

ok, i figured it out after wandering around for months. there was a boat ticket i needed and it was hidden in some obscure spot in the bank. Proceeded to defeat the elite 4 but unfortunately i never completed the pokedex

hey, i wanted to ask where do u go after getting the 3 badges? I cant seem to find the path to the league

(1 edit)

sure np, theres alot of games with this name

...

this game is generally pretty good, however, it seems the item shop was actually a charity that gave everything away for free. 92 revives sure made this an ultra casual adventure. Anyway the second boss turned out to be the hardest one due to triple attack, took a while to figure out u needed a big brain method for him. The final boss died extremely fast, did he not heal when he changed? But anyway this was a simple but fun rpg.

This game is challenging and that would be fair but several times i get killed from glitches. E.g. i had times where i get killed by an enemy behind my kick box because of how rpgmaker calculates collision instantly rather than sprites moving and i moved towards the enemy while it was being killed by the box. I had a ton of trouble against the final boss due to glitches:

 - the bat form somehow 'dodged' my box when i kicked it towards him (this can happen with regular enemies too)

- skipping the final boss cutscene puts me in a black screen while the cutscene plays anyway. this black screen then continues to persist when the boss fight begins

- if i was on a chain while the boss dies, a softlock occurs as the protagonist is stuck on the chain

getting this many glitches in a final boss was extremely annoying. I hope this feedback helps to improve the game for future players.

i give up. when it uses blizzard 2 times in a row i just instantly loose

feels alot like yume nikki

wow this is hard, if i had to do this in real life i would be doomed

i played this thru steam, managed to get to the end but it was way more effort than it should have been. There are alot of glitches that mess up the playing experience. Some big ones that come to mind are:

  • the legendary blacksmith charges money before telling you that you dont have the necessary materials to craft a legendary item (he tells you what they are AFTER you pay the money). So you will continually lose money each time you attempt to get him to craft something, without getting anything in return.
  • Near the end, if you try to move to the right from the largest room in the castle, you will be forced to walk left, possibly into debris and freezing the game.
  • In the post game, I seem to have gotten stuck in the underwater dungeon with no way to escape.

I want to say this is different from some of the game design choices that are rather unconventional, for example removing the player's inventory without warning. While annoying, that mechanic makes sense in game and the player will have to adapt to the new situation. That's ok. Another interesting thing is that the game actually becomes somewhat open world once you get in the volcano. The game difficulty suddenly ramps up and you are left stuck in a volcano filled with powerful enemies. This can be quite intimidating and I almost quit at this point. But, once I escaped the volcano I had to explore everywhere to empower myself so that i can eventually tackle the main objective. And it was definitely possible to figure everything out. Without the major glitches and the sudden difficulty increases, this game is actually not too bad.

P.S. Putting a save point inside of a timed section is also very questionable. The first time i got unlucky and had tons of encounters, getting to that save point with about 2 seconds left on the clock so I couldnt save, and had to go all the way back when I lost to the final boss the first time.

this game is great.

Yea, i found all the red coins and got inside that cabin in area 3. And I actually played a couple of your other games some time ago. They  all have pretty interesting mechanics, if i remember. Im also kinda more focused on gameplay than story when i make a game too, so that is completely understandable. Thanks for the game!

thanks for the tip, finished the game now. Unfortunately i do not see any logic in how hitting the side of a cliff would cause the house above it to move at all. If I was hitting the house directly then that would be fair. I can believe that dog tail whip can break a barrel or pot but this going kinda too far to believe. The way the game ended was also kinda lame. I liked the game enough to get all the collectibles but this was a bit disappointing.

Stuck in the 3rd area carrying just the fish. Could not get past the pigeon guarding the path to the area with the 9 dots. Hints seem to suggest giving the fish to some cat, but there are no cats anywhere.

played this on steam just now. Pretty simple game for the most part. Ending felt like earthbound, which seems to be fairly common in rpg maker games. I tried the bonus area for a bit and the first boss straight up kills everyone with a seemingly unavoidable 350 dmg aoe. Overall, a nice and simple rpg.

As the final real level, level 9 is a huge difficulty spike... why does the player skid out of control to the right when they stomp on a boss? I got thru it but it took me a long time and felt super unfair

(Dont read this if you havent played it)

I never wanted to be breaking bad this much

WHY DID SHE HAVE TO BE FROM THE FREAKING DEA???

hey, i played the original so id like to know what the differences are vs this remake?

Nice game. My party was reid (generalist), ricca (healer), shiv (blindness spam), and the fire mage girl. The second boss was super hard, almost gave up there. But everything after that was much easier. You wouldnt believe how happy i was when the mage learned paralysis, had a great time vs the final boss

glorious undertale 2 best game

Thanks for streeming the game, riggy! I had alot of fun watching it! Some of the puzzles were harder than intended so I will probably go back and see what to do about it. Most likely I'll do a small update after the contest ends. Again, thanks for playing my game for IGMC!

Completely understandable that this isn't your type of game! I noticed that most people made standard RPG's, so something like this is probably not typical. Thanks for trying it out!

Hey, thanks for playing the game! And yea, I had fun making it! The forest turned out to be much more difficult than the other puzzles, so I will make it less confusing after the contest ends. This is the first time I joined IGMC so I didnt expect so many people streaming IGMC games! Been pretty fun so far!

Hey, thanks for playing my game for IGMC! Glad you liked it! The save disable towards the end was a bug that i missed, it wasnt intentional. I also wanted to add more to the ritual and the endings but ran out of steam towards the end. After the contest ends I will probably be doing some fixes and maybe add more to the end so thanks for the feedback!

Literally radiant arc. Pretty good standard rpg, I managed to get to the end of the demo even with the small lag and all battles being stuck zoomed in for some reason. The difficulty is pretty challenging. I had way too many close calls and the boosts made a HUGE difference in the outcomes of the fights. Overall a fun game!

hey, i streemed this and it was fairly enjoyable. There were a number of minor issues typical of a first game but most of them didnt really detract from the story itself, except i personally didnt like the slow move speed of the main character. At the end of the day it was a nice little romance story and i liked it. Nice game!

Fun game where you play as a bearded dude with a monocle footpumping an axe to kill imps. The only problem is that i completely missed the lantern 2 feet away from me at the start, so i ended up getting nowhere in total darkness. But i restarted got the lantern and finished this fast game. Pretty funny, i liked it!

"dont worry about anything, lets party"

This game is very funny, and im not just talking about the randomness of the plot, or what was the point of the wood and the ores. The battle system itself is hilarious as well. I love the over the top choreography, the broken overpowered skills i get, the elemental reactions, all of it. The ending was also completely random, but when the dude just said "dont worry about anything, lets party!", i agreed. Thanks for making this crazy game!

ok yea i was hoping the bamboo part wasnt too hard to figure out, i wanted ppl to get stuck in it for a bit but be able to figure it out eventually. Im glad u had fun with the game!

hope u have fun with the game nikki!

np! i was looking forward to more funny dialogue but thanks for clarifying!
