Hi everyone,
My name is Clément, also known as Hics. I'm a professional musician and composer with several years of professional experience in the music industry. I am a professional composer looking to put my skills at the service of the video game industry.
I've been composing for around 8–9 years and have been making music for over 20 years. My work is primarily orchestral, often enhanced with subtle electronic elements such as themes, arpeggios, and ambient textures, while always maintaining an orchestral foundation, which remains my favorite musical style.
As a gamer myself, I understand the expectations and requirements of video game music. I can create seamless loops, design layered ambient textures, compose memorable themes, and support the emotions that a game seeks to convey. As you'll notice when listening to my music, I love grand, powerful orchestral arrangements that take center stage, but I also know how to make them subtle, intimate, and fragile when the story calls for it.
I'm a violinist by training, but I've also spent time playing bass and piano. I made a living performing live on stage for several years, but I never put away my violin or my computer for music production. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Today, I'd like to dedicate some of my free time to composing emotions, telling stories, and helping players immerse themselves in unique worlds. My goal is to enhance and elevate the work of developers, artists, and everyone involved in bringing a project to life.
My philosophy is simple: music should tell what the visuals cannot, elevate the story being told, and stand on its own as a meaningful listening experience.
