Quite a nice experience, very chill game!

(1 edit)

Rescued 22 dinos! I love that this feels like a solo boardgame. Brilliant and fun game, especially considering this was a 4 day jam. I enjoyed this very much, will probably play a game or two more later today!

Edit: played while taking the metro and the game runs nicely on a phone. Managed to rescue 44 this time :)

Cool game and concept! Enjoyed the challenge, last level was quite hard

This actually seems to be a common confusion among players, and entirely my fault for not clearly communicating where your money (peels) are shown. The number on top of the peeled potatoes is just that: the number of peeled potatoes. Your money/peels are actually shown on the bottom left of the screen, next to the "peels/potato" indicator.

Hope this helps! Also happy that you still completed the game even with this frustration 😊🥔

Cool game! Beginning was confusing since it's not really well communicated that the start button acts as a signal. But aside from that, really enjoyed this, good job! :)

Very charming art! Felt good to get revenge on that dragon :D

Howdy partner lmao. This was funny, really enjoyed it!

This was so good. Story was very well made, and the minigame, characters and pixel art were top noch. Thank you for making this :)

Clever concept! The visuals are really polished. Really fun game!

WATCH OUT, BIRDS ARE FALLING!

Beautiful game, the illustrations are wonderful. What a ride of emotions!

Simple but addicting gameplay and very crunchy sounds and effects. I liked it!

Very smooth platforming! Were you inspired by Super Marios' "!" blocks? Enjoyed it very much, and the 3D creature that starts chasing you is really cool. How did you achieve it, Is it done with a subviewport?

There is a slight randomness to the pitch, but yeah it's probably not enough after hearing the same sound 3000 times :D Thanks for playing!

Fun game, the atmosphere is fittingly oppressive with the graphics and sound design!

Love the little poems at the start of each level. Pretty good platforming as well. Wasn't clear for me how the doors work, do I have to collect the fruits first for them to open or do I just stand there patiently? Aesthetically very pleasing game, had fun playing through it :)

Not really, although I rewatched it a couple of months ago so might have been subconsciously inspired :D I was more directly inspired of old Donald Duck comics where he had to polish Scrooges huge piles of coins

Yeah the font was hard to read in some parts, will probably use some other font in the future. Permissive / cheap upgrades were intentional, as I wanted the game to be short and satisfying as it escalates pretty quickly :D Thanks for playing!

Funny how we both made a game about peeling potatoes :D Peeling mechanic felt really satisfying!

Haha yeah I was also surprised to find out there are 25 entries when searching for "potato" :D Gonna give the other ones a try. Thanks for playing!

Cool to include so many game modes for a jam game. Very juicy visuals!

Very nice! Felt like the puzzles repeated themselves a bit, but overall great take on the theme and a fun puzzle game

Cool art style, I like the mix of ms paint + realistic images. Gameplay and story was also fun and creative! The cards started to be a bit difficult to sift through after you have a lot of them though. Aside from that, I really liked the cardplay :)

Very cozy. Satisfying to see the plants grow with that little *blop* sound effect :D

Nice game, wish there was a couple more levels!

Felt pretty challenging to balance the time initially, but felt good when it finally clicked for me. Great gameplay, music and visuals. Nice job!

Good use of the theme here. Maybe I just suck, but the game felt a bit too hard? I couldn't get past 3rd level :D

Very nice! Fits well in the theme.

Small issue: I got stuck in "dash jump to go farther" level, as my dash jump would not go far enough to reach the other side.

Deceptively simple, as all the best card games are. Enjoyed this very much!

Sorry, don't remember :/ It was a later level (maybe something like 6-8). I got stuck in lower right of the level where there was no spikes and two sealed doors.

Completed a run! Cool game, I can appreciate how difficult it is to build a turn-based system in such a short jam 🤘

Very good! Reminds me of my own old jam entry where I used the same art assets and also had a cloning mechanic :) I guess my only complaint would be that the clones are too thicc, and you can too easily get yourself stuck in tight spaces

This was SO GOOD! Very clever puzzles and simple art. I unfortunately got softlocked in a level, is there any way to restart the level? This is my favourite jam entry so far!

Really funny, laughed especially hard for the kiss and slap sounds. Good work!

Really enjoyed the game! Probably some kind of a tutorial would have helped the initial confusion, but thats how it goes with these short game jams 😊

Woah, this is SO GOOD! Everything was excellent; writing, sounds, controls and graphics. Played it and got the Magical Kingdom ending, but plan to play again for a different ending.

Thanks for making this, I had a blast playing it!

No it doesn't. This can be played with just one button, as the rules state. This way you can merely choose what that button is

Thanks for playing! There actually is one in the pause menu, I just should've communicated it better 😅

Thanks for playing! I had a bunch of ideas that would have required having the inputs be recorded, but for these levels I probably should have only had positions and animations recorded to alleviate the desyncing issues.

Cool that your entry is 2 player local multiplayer, I'll give it a try once I have someone irl to play it with :D

Thanks! This was indeed my first game jam entry 😄 I do have a bunch of unfinished games gathering dust, so more of a first published game rather than first game 😁

All of the positive comments make me want to continue this project further. I had a bunch of ideas I didn't have time to develop before jam ended.

Really enjoyed your game as well!
