I really like it. The enemies’ expression changes when they’re hit by love are hilarious. And how they change color when converted is great too. I just couldn’t defeat the boss. Since I didn’t see a health bar, I’m not sure if it’s even possible to beat him. But I want him to know what love is too 😢. Such a cute game!

Thanks for commenting! The idea is for it to be an action platformer, so you’ll be able to shoot some enemies, like in Mega Man. I hope to keep working on this project and manage to bring the many ideas I have for it to life. Oh, and it does have a health bar. I just didn’t have time to make it visible 😄

The story was really important to me, more than it probably should have been. I spent half the week thinking and imagining how the world works, the characters, and the worldbuilding, which I barely managed to actually implement. But even so, all my other projects were just thoughts and notes; this was the first one that truly saw the light of day, which is already a big step.

And you’re absolutely right about the environment. I realized it really does feel much more like a dungeon than a cyberpunk setting.

About the Z button, it’s just the default preset in GB Studio, and I’ll look into changing it to Escape, which is definitely much more intuitive.

I tried again and managed to use a weapon. I had pressed “E” on the starting crate once and it didn’t work, but when I held the button, it worked. I really liked the shooting feel, but it would be nice to better notice that the robots are actually being hit. And I forgot to mention it, but the CRT filter makes everything look really beautiful.

I can’t run it, but the description got me excited.

I liked the idea, it reminds me of Java browser games I used to play when I was a kid. The interface left me a little confused, but making a game in one week is pretty crazy…

I really like the idea of a game with the jam’s theme in a style similar to Resident Evil and Dino Crisis. Maybe with an investigative tone and a retrofuturistic noir atmosphere?

I really loved the city visuals, they’re sooo cyberpunk. I also liked the sense of speed in the controls, and the droid sounds are very interesting. Once you add music, it’s going to be really cool. I couldn’t run around shooting everywhere,  guess there wasn’t time to implement that mechanic, but it definitely made me want to do it.

I liked the feeling of moving around and really loved the robot’s design. The music is also very good. Beat ’em up isn’t really my style, but I hope to see more of this game soon.
