I'm not a rapper,

I'm a trapper in the Four Girls Army -

Marching gaily to the beat of crime!

Fun turn-based battle game, with very sweet characters. Potty-mouthed Brit/Oz healer Willow cracks me up! Would've loved to see what the enemies look like, and looking forward to more development if that's in the works!

(The music was also very suited to the game - reminded me of the original FF7.)

Gorgeous... I love how the theme of turning from one phase to another is reflected in the lines, the revolution of the mandala, and the repeated three-note variations in the music.

Thank you for reading! The voice acting and art truly brought the story to life, and I’m glad you enjoyed it too.

Ah ok, got it, thank you!

That was the initial idea, but now that I know it's not allowed, what if the extra items don't appear in the BG, but only as player input text (or player choice as part of the story text - haven't decided)? When the player inputs/chooses the right item, then the one item appears on the sprite. Is that allowed?

Hello, is it allowed to have more than one choice of “extra item” to be added to the sprite, but only one is ultimately added depending on the player choice? The “extra items” will be displayed as part of the BG art at first, and when player has chosen one, the one will appear on the sprite. Thank you!

Ok, thanks for clarifying!

If I use the menu BG art for the game BG, does that count as one BG or two? Thank you!

Edit: I see that the menu art isn’t “counted,” but if I use the menu art as game BG, and then have one other BG later in the game, does that break the rules?

Sweet story, love the innocence. The font did make it hard to read, given the size and amount of text per panel, but I guess that's also part of the aesthetic you're going for.

This is adorable! Feels like a warm hug from a feathered friend. The character art is great, with the monotone character colors working really well for that cozy feeling and making the background art pop as well. Character voices are distinctive and so easy to fall in love with. The music fits the theme and characters well too. Oh, and I don't know the technical terms at all, but I really like the camera work(?) with blurring out foreground characters to focus on the background character, or zooming into specific characters, etc. Just overall really nice coupling of dialogue and scenes!

I wanted to figure things out by playing, so I intentionally didn't read about the mechanics - I agree, it's easy to catch on. Not having read the mechanics, some things that were not so obvious:

  • Characters' health and damage. I thought the numbers below the characters were their health, then realized it's the number of individuals (soldiers?) within the group. So I guess the total health and damage are products of that and the health/damage numbers on the character cards? Not sure..
  • The attack range of characters with ranged abilities. Maybe it's on the cards and I just didn't notice.

Anyway, great job with the solo effort!

I like the mysterious intro to the story! The character sizes seem to be a bit off (some too small, others too large for the window). The voices were great, and so was the art!  An exception error occurred after Hana asked if I want to reconsider (which is kinda hilarious :) ).

Loved all the art, especially the calligraphy for the bunny and moon princess legend. Conversation was great between the friends, and the crush~ Thanks for the auto-save feature too. Hope there's more after the bar conversation!

I delivered all the letters on the first floor. On the second floor, I learned that it's my apartment, an empty apartment, and Mrs. Bell's apartment. I didn't deliver any letters on that floor. Then I went to talk to Mrs. Bell. I hit spacebar, but she didn't say anything, and I couldn't move past her. Nothing happens after that.

Nothing happens. I go back to Mrs. Bell, and after I hit spacebar, I think she says the same thing as she did in the beginning (don't quite remember), and I can't move past her to go to the stairs. I stopped after that, sorry!

Adorable, Maya certainly has character!

Thoroughly enjoyed the conversation between Erline and Noraka, and Erline is gorgeous <3

The pixel art and characters are so cute! Also enjoyed the music and sfx a lot - very much in character with the game. Not sure what to do after failing to deliver letters for Mrs. Bell on the second floor, but would love to continue another time!
