Hi there! Sorry for the late reply.
The idea is that it replaces your current Aether, so your ruling was in line with the design intent. I’ll add it to the notes for the next version.
Thanks for playing! :D <3
Thanks for all your kind comments! I really like Dungeon Meshi, but I wrote AtO way before the anime came out and my sources/inspiration are much older xD
That’s why there’s really no design around “dungeons” as such. I do feel that Dungeon Meshi does feel like something that you could play with AtO, especially if you allow Bards to cook as a performance art. Senshi’s a Bard in my mind!
If you get to run and/or play it, I’d love to read your reaction/feedback. Especially if you fill out on the surveys especially created for that purpose and linked in the game’s description ;)
Aw!🥺🖤 Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really happy you liked the game, because it seems you’re the perfect player for it! 😁
As to create custom playbooks, please do! And link them here if you feel like it 😉 I’d love to write many more playbooks (and even supplements) for AtO, but that’s in future. And even then: I love to see what other people come up with!
Thanks again and I hope you and your players have a great time playing when you do!

“You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain…”
Against the Odds is a heroic fantasy tabletop roleplaying game in which the player characters (PCs) are heroes trying to stop the dangerous and wicked pursuits of villains of all kinds. These heroes travel to fantastic locations; overcome great physical, mental, and emotional challenges; and fight against many and mighty foes, all while struggling to avoid becoming villains themselves.
This quickstart includes everything you need to run a complete campaign (or two!), such as:

Thanks for replying and Happy New Year!
If you could send me a "plain text" version (a doc with headings, for example), I could translate it more easily, send it back to you, and then you can do the layout.
I don't know if we can send PMs here, but my email is farealh (a) gmail if you want to get in touch there ;)
