Oddly enough I think it would be really interesting if Cupid is a dateable character, like a secret unlockable. MC and them have a very interesting dynamic with potential dating vibes. But that's just me ^^; Anyways, I'm looking forward to future updates/ the full game! :D
Hello, I found a bug! There is no longer the option to change Mordred's eye color. I kept going back to skim the text to see if I missed anything but no, there is no option. All I can change is my hair and skin color of my Mordred. The only time I can change eye color is if I want to skip to chapter 5 and do the character customization.
Thank you for the update! I also had my laptop die on me not too long ago (unsaveable unfortunately 🥲) so I feel that. I hope you get another laptop soon! I'm also excited to see what chapters are to come in the future 🙌🏻💕

Also one suggestion I have is a slider for text speed! That way we can control how fast text comes in instead of just skipping and potentially fast forwarding over important things!
I really enjoyed this game! I loved the music and the art direction with the pop art/ comic style. The voice acting was also well done, although sometimes I felt like Nik could've had more inflections, but nothing major.
I only have 3 in-depth critiques on things I feel need to be worked on:
So first, I know MC was in a state of panic so they weren't thinking straight, but as someone who is always in the line of danger, they should be calmer than most. So when the MC's mom was attacked, MC should've been suspicious as to how Nik knew that person being attacked was MC's mom when he had never met her, and how he seemingly knew where their apartment was.
Second, I found it odd how MC leaves their mom who has health issues and was just attacked, in their apartment alone in favor of having time with Nik. Knowing how much MC worries about their mom, this was out of character. They should've stayed behind and gently refused Nik's invite to his home, and rescheduled for it.
Thirdly, I wish we were able to choose to drink or not. I'm not someone who drinks and choose not to drink out of health concerns, so I don't like having to drink in a story that I'm trying to immerse myself in as me. This is just my preference though so you can ignore this.
Overall I enjoyed the story and idea and can't wait to see more! :)

Highly recommend listening to LOOPGARDEN's hours of free jazz samples on youtube as bg music while reading these. It was perfect with the vibes and helped me settle into the story -U- <3333

On the Itchio PC app if you downloaded the game already just go to the game's page on Itchio and it should give you the option to update the game instead of launching it. The option should be on the bottom and the button to update should be pink.

If you don't like it, then obviously it wasn't made with you in mind so go find another game to play. Aw T-T I loved the angst and angst-fluff this chapter, thank you again for writing another great chapter with deep characters! I really hope Flea lets down his walls someday towards MC. Totally understanding his position of wanting to pull away and not hurt MC cuz he cares too much for them. I was the same, took a very loving person and lot of time for me to finally stop running and face my fears. I hope he can do the same one day ;v; ❤️
It's just kinda funny to me to be skeptical about the selling point of an entire game genre. It's like being skeptical about shooting games because it has shooting in it. But hey, maybe give visual novels a shot if you haven't already since it's a mix of gameplay and writing. Some recommendations: Danganronpa, Ace Attorney, 999, The Letter, Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood.

Late reply but Homelander is a psychopathic character with narcissistic tendencies who kills people without blinking an eye, while toting himself a hero. He feels no remorse as long as it gives him power or is in his favor, and he has a twisted sexual perversion/ fetish with power and death. The only time he regrets anything is if his own actions come back to become his own undoing, but even then he would rather blame others for his folly. A really hateable character that's for sure 💀

Wonderful writing, interesting characters, and lovely intricate descriptions of the story and setting. I also loved how many options there were and it truly made the story feel more open world/ customizable.
With that being said, there does need to be some work on grammatical errors/ typos and at some point in the story the people with the W genes got mixed up with the people without the W genes which was confusing (when Dante first encountered the group of male humans with MC after they left MC's apartment and he commented on their scent). But otherwise the story and writing and everything else is wonderful! I know you're working on rewriting this so I'm sure these will be addressed after the next update. I'm looking forward to seeing more! Take all the time you need! ☺️💕
I'm so sorry to hear this has happened. I understand as an artist myself how frustrating it is to lose all of the work you did. Sometimes however, pushbacks like these can cause us to create even better works than what was lost. Don't lose hope! Use this as an opportunity to do something different, change designs, have fun with new concepts, and see if there is something you can do that you hesitated previously, or old scrapped concepts that may work better in your favor. Sometimes being stuck with strict adherence to old concepts can burn you out. You aren't starting over, you are building off of things you already created and now have more knowledge as to how to move forward.
That being said, I do also understand if you reach the point of knowing when to step back or put the project on a backburner. Take a nice break and or maybe start on something else for a while until you are ready to return with renewed vigor. There is nothing wrong with stopping a project despite fan outcry, because your sanity and health is first and foremost. It wouldn't be a failure to do so because creators cannot create if they are burnt out. I wish the team all the best! I know you all are working hard and I can't wait to see what comes of it in the future.

Of course, life changing events and health problems always puts a stopper on things. I had the same thing happen to me where I stopped working out and doing yoga when I had health problems. I'm definitely going to start it again soon!

Also I'm in full support of you doing things that make you happy. I think discovering small things that calm you down and going back to them when you feel stressed can be helpful. Like yoga, tea, weighted blankets, comfort foods/shows, games, books.

Im sorry, it sucks that you're going through health stuff. I empathize with having to go through a lot of health scares since I have chronic illnesses while having health anxiety and health phobias.
I hope I'm not being a busybody but--If nobody has told you yet, you'll be okay no matter what happens. You'll be okay and you'll figure out new ways to tackle this with your doctor. Don't jump to the immediate scary thoughts. Also something that helps me is writing out questions and answering them. It calms my health nerves. Ex: "what are you afraid of?", "Is that fear grounded in my current reality?", "Am I currently safe?", "What can't I control right now?", "What DO I have control over at this moment?".
I hope you'll get some good news and heal up asap so you can read more IFs! I'm cheering you on! ❤️

You not being able to read this is a you problem, nobody else has an issue with this. It's interactive writing for a reason. Not everyone can animate or draw or have the money to commission others. This is how they chose to share their story, and you should be respectful of it.
