Hey so nice you played the prototype!

I uploaded a build without really thinking (or testing x_X) so sorry this version was a bit unstable. Have been and will be fixing up the major issues this week.

I'll post an full update with the new version soon :)

- Milan

Thanks <3

Reworking most of the core mechanics now to be less like a combat-less imsim, and more like a proper detective RPG! Will keep you posted :)

Thanks :D I'm praying it went well because I wasn't there myself haha.

Oh no :( Sorry that it didn't work for you!

Question to help debug this: Did you hear the music playing?

- Milan

Thanks so much for playing! Very glad you enjoyed it :))

Adding a sensitivity slider is definitely on the backlog (and just increased the speed by 30% baseline, had put it lower for recording a trailer whoops). I'll have a look at the other points as well, thanks for thinking with me!

- Milan

OMG I'm watching your Let's Play now (you're the first person that's not my personal friend playing this) and I really love seeing it!

Thank you so much, super happy that you enjoyed it so much :))

Hey y'all!

Very happy to announce that the demo for my upcoming project is available on itch.io! I'd love to hear what people think, very excited about this one :D

- Milan

An occult detective RPG set in a dark reflection of 90s Berlin.

Inspired by Vampire the Masquerade, Deus Ex and Hellblazer, it weaves a tale of conspiracy that combines Germanic folklore with neo-noir themes, connected to the dynamic, seductive and violent history of Berlin

Hey y'all,

I'm putting together a new prototype for a game I've been wanting to make for a LONG time: Nightfall Berlin.

PROTOTYPE HERE: https://heartcasegames.itch.io/nightfall-berlin

I'm still considering whether to make it into a full release or not, but I'm pretty excited about it so far.

Basically what I'm looking for is the following basic feedback:

  • Would you play a longer version of this?
  • What excites you about this game?
  • What puts you off?

Just having some basic thoughts on these aspects would be tremendously helpful!

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no credit section yet, so some of the assets I've used are yet uncredited. Moreover the music is mostly placeholder.

Let me know what you think!

- Milan

I absolutely love Mörkborg :D so yeah, glad the inspiration shines through. Lmk what you think 🔥

Good call on double-checking all the interactions for sound queues. They're *supposed* to have them, but in the midst of all the different things to do some might have gotten lost. Will check them all today!

Thanks again for the details, added them to my to-do list before I start sending this out to publishers :D

Thanks for the kind words Xahutek!

I'll have a look at the current textboxes to see if I can cut them up a bit more, I agree that some blocks seems to be a bit long!

What parts of the UI seem a bit slow to you? Is it related to how quick things open and popup, or did something else stand out?

Peaceful little experience with some satisfying nature-growing effects :)

Hey Wasabi,

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you like the writing, it is what needs to carry most of the game so it is very important people like that part :D

The graphics are WIP, and the various resolutions and styles is something I'll work on for the final project. Will have to find a decent 3D artist when the time (and money) comes that can use this as basic inspiration and work some of their magic!

I didn't make it myself, it is placeholder from a creative commons track I found. I wanted to be a bit more experimental also with the music choice, and the flamenco/spanish guitar is a unique angle that I just really love. I want to try to MAKE it fit with the tone haha.

I'll check out your game on the weekend, it looks really interesting tbh.

- Milan

Thanks rchava! Very much appreciated. Hope your head is doing okay :O

Hey Wasabi,

Thanks for the in-depth comments! Really appreciate you taking the time to play it even if it wasn't your cup of tea.

Eco-punk is a genre I just kind of made up, focusing on themes of ecology, so it is indeed a nonsense word.. Hopefully it can become an actual term after gorepunk releases!

- Milan

Hey rchava,

Thanks for playing! I'm really sorry about the flashing lights, that is DEFINITELY not intended :/ Hope your brain recovered quickly.. I didn't test the game on MacOS, but browser-wise it should be fine.. I'll have a proper look so others don't suffer the same!

Glad you found it unique, I'll keep working on it! :)

- Milan

Thanks for having a look in any case, CMW-Games!

Hey all,

For a game I've been working on for a while I'd love to hear what you think. The prototype on itch doesn't really have an ending yet, but would love to hear some first impressions.

I'm mainly looking for a vibe-check:

How does the writing feel?
Does it fit the presented world?
What do you think of the readability of the UI?
Do the graphics work with the atmosphere?
What do you think of the music?

Thanks for taking the time to read/watch/play <3  Any advice/insights are VERY welcome :)).

- Milan

That was.. unbelievably fast :D Thanks for playing ^^

Hey there!
Just played it, looks sooo good <3 I met one of the devs (Mikey) at Saftladen. Good luck, can't wait to play the full version!

- Milan

Hey! IThanks for the feedback and for playing! The game will be out for free in a few weeks!

Thanks :D It's a bit experimental and rushed, but glad you enjoyed it. I'll check out your channel and let you know if I release a more substantial game ^^

Haha. A proper horror game.. with no horror :D

Hey man ^^
Thanks  for playing! It's a weird and experimental title, completely understand the criticism. It wasn't really meant to be played as a scary horror game, and more an outlet for something stuck in my head. I'll hit you when I make a 'proper' game that has a bit more to it!

 ~ Milan

Thanks a bunch ^^ That was all I was going for, glad to hear you got it :)

Hey ^^
Thanks so much for playing my short, experimental game. I'll let you know when I release my next (more substantial) project!
~ Milan

Hey :)
Thanks a bunch for playing my short little game ^^ Nice to see you got the sense of unease at its core! Good luck with your channel and I'll let you know when I release a bit more substantial game in the future!
~ Milan

Hey Jar_Red :)

Thanks for playing! I like your multiple interpretations of it, which is something I kept in the air on purpose. I'll let you know if an updated (AI working correctly) version is released, or I make something a bit meatier :) Good luck with the channel!

~ Milan

Hey there!

Thanks for playing ^^ You're completely right: the creature's AI was one of the last things I could implement within the time frame, so the actual 'gameplay' here is pretty basic (if non-existent). Good luck with your channel, if I ever release an updated version or a longer game, I'll definitely let you know!

~ Milan

Thanks for playing <3

No worries, always open to criticism. Good luck with your channel!

Hey there :)

Honestly, I'm even pretty surprised that you thought it had potential! I made this 'game' (I'd refer to it more as a short experience to be honest) in 12 hours for the Global Game Jam. It was made more to get an idea/concept out of my head and into the world than to provide meaningful gameplay. Thanks for playing anyway, and hopefully when I make an 'actual' game, you'll try it!

~ Milan

Thanks for playing my game jam mini-game :) When my next (bigger) project comes out, I'll be sure to let you know ^^

Haha hey ^^ Thanks for trying it out, glad you could get a laugh out of it! :D

This project is on hold for the moment, as other games have taken priority (those that allow me to eat food and live in a house, etc.). Still, please try it out and let me know what you think! :D

If there are any bugs, please let me know! I was hastily cobbled together, so there are bound to be some problems ^^
