Hey y'all!
Very happy to announce that the demo for my upcoming project is available on itch.io! I'd love to hear what people think, very excited about this one :D

An occult detective RPG set in a dark reflection of 90s Berlin.
Inspired by Vampire the Masquerade, Deus Ex and Hellblazer, it weaves a tale of conspiracy that combines Germanic folklore with neo-noir themes, connected to the dynamic, seductive and violent history of Berlin
Hey y'all,
I'm putting together a new prototype for a game I've been wanting to make for a LONG time: Nightfall Berlin.
PROTOTYPE HERE: https://heartcasegames.itch.io/nightfall-berlin
I'm still considering whether to make it into a full release or not, but I'm pretty excited about it so far.
Basically what I'm looking for is the following basic feedback:
- Would you play a longer version of this?
- What excites you about this game?
- What puts you off?
Just having some basic thoughts on these aspects would be tremendously helpful!
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no credit section yet, so some of the assets I've used are yet uncredited. Moreover the music is mostly placeholder.
Let me know what you think!

Good call on double-checking all the interactions for sound queues. They're *supposed* to have them, but in the midst of all the different things to do some might have gotten lost. Will check them all today!
Thanks again for the details, added them to my to-do list before I start sending this out to publishers :D
Hey Wasabi,
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you like the writing, it is what needs to carry most of the game so it is very important people like that part :D
The graphics are WIP, and the various resolutions and styles is something I'll work on for the final project. Will have to find a decent 3D artist when the time (and money) comes that can use this as basic inspiration and work some of their magic!
I didn't make it myself, it is placeholder from a creative commons track I found. I wanted to be a bit more experimental also with the music choice, and the flamenco/spanish guitar is a unique angle that I just really love. I want to try to MAKE it fit with the tone haha.
I'll check out your game on the weekend, it looks really interesting tbh.

Hey Wasabi,
Thanks for the in-depth comments! Really appreciate you taking the time to play it even if it wasn't your cup of tea.
Eco-punk is a genre I just kind of made up, focusing on themes of ecology, so it is indeed a nonsense word.. Hopefully it can become an actual term after gorepunk releases!

Hey rchava,
Thanks for playing! I'm really sorry about the flashing lights, that is DEFINITELY not intended :/ Hope your brain recovered quickly.. I didn't test the game on MacOS, but browser-wise it should be fine.. I'll have a proper look so others don't suffer the same!
Glad you found it unique, I'll keep working on it! :)

Hey all,
For a game I've been working on for a while I'd love to hear what you think. The prototype on itch doesn't really have an ending yet, but would love to hear some first impressions.
I'm mainly looking for a vibe-check:
How does the writing feel?
Does it fit the presented world?
What do you think of the readability of the UI?
Do the graphics work with the atmosphere?
What do you think of the music?
Play the prototype:

Thanks for taking the time to read/watch/play <3 Any advice/insights are VERY welcome :)).

Hey there!
Thanks for playing ^^ You're completely right: the creature's AI was one of the last things I could implement within the time frame, so the actual 'gameplay' here is pretty basic (if non-existent). Good luck with your channel, if I ever release an updated version or a longer game, I'll definitely let you know!

Hey there :)
Honestly, I'm even pretty surprised that you thought it had potential! I made this 'game' (I'd refer to it more as a short experience to be honest) in 12 hours for the Global Game Jam. It was made more to get an idea/concept out of my head and into the world than to provide meaningful gameplay. Thanks for playing anyway, and hopefully when I make an 'actual' game, you'll try it!
