Good dose of puzzles. I liked a lot the characters' squashy animation, as well as the punchy sound effects.
Very curious gameplay mechanics, maybe could be explored more if there was the possibilty of align more than 2 blocks, but an overall solid experience for a game jam.

Glad to hear the challange was good and not frustrating, since I often mess up when calibrating the difficulty.

The two screens and the font used can actually remind a DS game!

I agree about the complexity on playing and reading at the same time, that's why I putted meaningful dialogs on the start and the end. In between, more for theatricality.

I agree about black hole, in development process was even harder to see. I added those little gray sparkles for that reason, but the issue still persists. The gravity FX is a double-edged sword: can be very useful if the black hole spawns on bottom screen, but it turns out useless if it spawns on top.
Also please note, the FXs are not random. Each planet has its own and the one which is nearest the moon, becomes active.

I think juiciness in a game can be very impactful, that's why I always pay attention to details.

Initially my intention was to add 2 modalities, but I was unable due the time. What you suggested really inspired me!
I sincerly don't know if I'm going to expand that, because generally when I finish a project, I immediately switch to new one.
That's because I like more to prototype games instead of stay glued in a single one.

But maybe at the end of the jam, I can consider to add more content. Thanks again!

I was afraid it could be tricky to understand the mechanics, glad to hear that.

It was a personal stylistic choice to use pixel art and give it a sense of 3D, but maybe vector art could give a better feeling. Thanks again for the feedback!

Difficulty is a parameter I should learn to calibrate better. Maybe a warning before changing the flow would have given time to coordinate.

Yes, I made a mistake.
Jam games should show the mechanics quite immediately: my game has a slow build up, and players may quit without see all the implementations due the frustration. Every time I design games for hardcore players. x)

Optimization is the main thing for me. I want everyone should be able to play, regardless of the machine performance.
The game requires concentration, once you get inside it becomes very simple to deal with.

In the description I linked all the shaders I used. The CRT is the one that gives the aspect you're looking for.

The game can be completed.
I don't know exactly where you got stuck, but for any problem, you can consult the playthrough that I made.

If I didn't get it wrong, you can't make the jump because you hit your head.

This is because you have to tap the UP ARROW, without holding it.
