Admittedly, the tutorial was very rushed and completed in only one hour on the day of submission. Didn’t had time to flush out many things. But the order is:
Get mug -> collect water -> place it down somewhere Collect beans -> grind beans -> put grounded beans into mug with water Put mug + water + grounded beans on top of the fire place until its steaming, then serve it.
So yes you can actually put the tray + beans and mug + water down on the table with the G button :).
As for the customers, ermmmm, my excuse is, they don’t know what’s a coffee so they willingly took the plain water you served them :)
Hahaha I was looking for new game project ideas while drinking my usual morning lattes when I thought of this. Typically fantasy worlds are depicted with taverns, where people drink beer, and I was thinking “Wow, fantasy worlds must have sucked. Imagine risking your life fighting monsters without any morning coffee.”
Thanks for sharing your gameplay! It was insightful. I think there’s a bug with the E button where instead of teleporting you to the next zone you reset so that got to be fix :(
As for the last puzzle, you were actually supposed to die over and over again on the pedestal and use your dead bodies to open the gate. There’s actually a note in the area beside the first puzzle area that hints at that. I think more work certainly needs to be done on the game part to communicate as to what to do in each area
Thanks for trying it out~
Definitely need more work on the NPCs, discovered lots of bugs after submitting the game. I agree with the part about tutorial too. After playing the game you submitted, it got me thinking about how to best bring the player up to speed on how to play without breaking the immersion too much.
Thanks for the feedback, appreciated!
Having narrative reason to take the player through one round of each screen at the start before the real game begins was a great move. It served as a great tutorial allowing the difficulty to scale well without it seeming like a forced tutorial. The narrative seems intriguing too, and I would love to see more of it.
Well done!
Thanks for trying out the game! Usually when the player gets spotted, the script teleports the monster nearer to the player instead of having the monster walk all the way, but I guess there are some bugs there that I need to fix.
Guess I have to put in more work into the difficulty and player movement. Thanks for the feedback! :)
Bugs aside, I really like the part where you are playing from the POV of the pilot, looking through the mech’s visor/screen. Most mech games either uses the third person view, or first person view, but directly in-front of the mech. I like that I can get out of the sit, and move around the cockpit. Well done!
