Thanks - a friend of mine has been bugging me to do voice work for a game. He’s pretty good huh!?

That’s all super helpful - thanks a lot for the info!

I have a basic understanding of Blender (shapes, bones, UVs, keyframes), but my ideas rarely leave prototype stage so nothing as polished as Enchairted Forest.

Again, I really like the visuals!

I really enjoyed the resulting art style! This is also the submission I played the longest (so far).

It sounds like you had a static camera in Blender, line up the model, render an image, and then stitched the sprite-sheets together from that?

I haven’t done sprite atlases before - I usually work in 3D so this was my first 2D game and I still have a lot of 2D stuff to learn!

The most first person shooter farming game I have ever played. It’s a bad day to be a bug!

How big can the animals get!?

The art was very good - very cohesive style!

Kind of like a rhythm game! I enjoyed the art style!

The plant is eating itself :(

Thanks for the feedback! A few people have said that a “birds blasted” counter would have been good, so I’ll bear that in mind for next time.

I wanted the movement to be “awkward” so it couldn’t be relied upon. Hopefully it was more of a “challenge” and less of an “annoyance” - maybe I could have polished it with more time.

That’s the same reason why I didn’t put the farmer in a wheelchair - I wanted him to have to grab his chair and jump around on it. You get a randomised impulse of movement (up + the desired direction) every time you hit the movement key. I thought a rocking chair had more of a classic “farmer” feel than someone using a wheelchair.

Originally I had the farmer able to rotate, he would tip over if the player was too quick, so I removed that feature instead of coding a fix for it (e.g. righting yourself) in such a short amount of time!

Y’all are still using the chair while I’m here planting wheat and getting my 10,000 steps/day!

Good use of existing assets. My turrets never seemed to fire more than one shot before getting swarmed :(

Clever implementation - love the game’s name too! No idea where my mouse was though.

Clever interpretation of the theme and object - I didn’t realise I was on an office chair until I saw the upgrade option and I looked down :D

Clever use of the rocking and recoil mechanic!

Thanks for the feedback - I’ll think more about UI in the future.

The audio was made a lot better when a friend of mine agreed to do the voices!

I could have been a sheepdog in another life.

Took me a second to figure out how to play, but I liked the progression.

Very impressive implementation for such a short amount of time.

Impressive card artwork!

Great minds think alike!

Fast-paced and a really solid visual theme!

Excellent game, especially for three days. Very slow to get started but it was an efficient use of a small number of assets. I’d be really interested to know the pipeline for making the art. The whistle was invaluable!
