I still don't get what's the difference between a test build and a game page... I exported the game as a gd game link. Does that mean I have to upload an html 5 version

I guess I'm just a little too late:( I tagged the game with the game jam project and contacted the organizer but nothing happened:( Thanks for the reminder though.

Hi! I just saw that my game was disqualified. May I ask for the reason why? It's frustrating to see this at the end of the jam.

Just tried your game. I guess next time I can at least figure out something more attractive to put on the cover, like a more readable and obvious title on the cover like you did (mine was in the wrong ratio haha) The idea and creativity in your game really shines! It perfectly fits the theme of this jam. I know there are multiple ways to take on the theme of a game jam, but I figured focusing on the game mechanism instead of story telling is more suitable for a short game jam. Nice work:) I'll try considering themes better next time.

Unexpectedly creative game! Little linux fighting against micr**oft while taking back control literally... This idea is impressive:) Nice job! The sound effect and music also fit the game, too. Good luck on the jam!

Thank you for your feedback! About the blood effect, I simply used an object that has multiple animations for the blood effect. The animations will get randomized when they are generated upon hitting or killing an enemy. Well actually I didn't design the blood to be yellow... It's just that I suppose this game jam wouldn't allow too much gore. Sadly there is no normal mapping in gdevelop, so the blood effect would look super weird when there is no wall in the background.

I made a silly mistake before exporting XP I forgot to set the menu scene as the starting scene, so yes, the opening and objectives are omitted. You have to die at least once to see the full introduction. About the theme though, I meant to create some sort of paradox here: you have to rise against the control of the bad guys by taking control over them. I did over-scoped the project. I actually thought of adding a bunch of dialogue before the boss fight to emphasize the theme of "take control", like in mgs where you have a twenty minute long political debate before a boss fight XP I'll try manage time and scale more wisely next time.

Yeah... maybe I really should have done that. I thought the gdevelop link would be sufficient. I missed submitting the itch version due to some connection issues... almost missed uploading the cover. I did asked the organizer to help me with the cover, but then I forgot about the itch version:( This jam is about to end so I guess it won't do much if I upload the itch version now.

Thank you! I made all the animations, backgrounds, and edited some sfx I found online. The bgm is free music by manbou nitohei. An excellent composer. I thought his music would really fit the game.

Yes! I did took some inspiration from katana zero but didn't have time to implement it:( The enemies' AI are still a bit dumb. About the I-frame... I once thought of giving the grab action some of that, but then I figured that would have made the game too easy>:) The crowding of enemies still needs to be revised, yes. Thank you for your feedback!

Yeah... I just forgot to set the menu scene as the starting scene, so you actually have to die once to process the game normally. And about the UI bullets... NO. It's just that the bullets have heart-shaped cross-sections. I'm actually not really good at drawing this kind of stuff so sorry if if leads to any allusion:) I'm not sure about the audio bug though. I'll keep testing. Good luck!

Thank you! And yeah, I didn't realize until recently that most people still prefer wasd controls. I just feel like "I can handle action games better" so I took on action games again XP.  But still, adjusting the movements when developing is painful :.) I'm glad you enjoyed it! Good luck on the jam!

The game is epic! Definitely one of the top 5 in this jam! I especially like the third mini game. Makes me remember Undertale. The hacker is cute :) Also I waited until the end of the credits. The dialogues are funny.

If you have a minute, please check out my game!

I like the multiple ending design here. Adds more fun to the story telling. Nice work! The atmosphere is nicely crafted.

If you have a minute, would you like to try my game?

The narrating voice is a bit unclear... But intriguing story! I like the way you design the dialogues. Nice work!

Please check out my game if you have a minute!

The art style is cute, and the idea of killing people by controlling them seems evil and creative>:) Would be more effective if there are different killing animations. Great job!

Please give my game a try if you have a minute!

The art style is simple but effective! I like the eerie atmosphere. The weapons feels a little hard  to use. Died a couple of times... The music of the menu was nice, too!

Please try my game if you have a minute!

The idea of controlling enemies is fun! Although everything seems to be pure luck... I like the art style. Nice game!

If you have a minute, please check out my game, too!

The sideways shooting was a bit hard to control, but fun game! I like it!

Please check out my game if you have a minute:)

This game is amazing! I love the direction you went with the art style! Cool intro at the beginning. How did you managed to do that? That was impressive. It's just I don't really know what is the time to punch the kaiju, so it was a pretty hard game for me. Great job!

Also, if you have a minute, would you like to try my game?

Well, I'll try making a demo as soon as possible:) I'll release it on steam.

Got hooked by the title here... Nice word play! It's a pity that there are no other built in levels or functions... I like the idea. Can't wait too see future updates. Good luck!

If you have a minute, please check out my game!

The idea of random control is so creative! Nice puzzle game!

If you have a minute, please check out my game!

Really love the gun jump design here! So mind blowing. The atmosphere is nice, too. Pretty eerie.

If you have a minute, please check out my game, too!

This game is brilliant! The music is energetic, and the camera movement when an enemy is killed is funny:) Good luck!

If you have a minute, please give my game a try!

Pretty cool puzzles! I like the atmosphere and sfx. Nice job!

Please try my game if you have a minute:)

The background music is excellent! The idea of switching between the alien and robots is intriguing too. Nice job!

This game is fun. The idea of controlling the traffic lights is innovative!

This is good! The mechanism matches the theme well, and the level design is solid. The only thing is that sometimes the bullet gets too hard to control when passing through narrow slits. The dash is also too fast. Hard to tell the distance. But nice game anyway!

Very animated sprites and sfx! I like it. Got confused by the gaming a bit, but everything else is just fine! Great work!

Man this game is so fun and hard at the same time! Sadly I just stuck at level 11:( Great work!

Thanks :)

Thanks a lot! I kind of over-scoped thee project at first so I didn't have enough time to polish the enemies' AI... What I wanted to make at first is like the enemies in Katana ZERO which are very responsive and smart. I'll try adding them in future updates:) Also, the shooting range of the gun is infinite, so I'll have to revision the level designs... Also you're right about the control theme. I attempted to add the theme into the story of the game, but then I forgot to set the menu scene as the starting scene:( The link is also not very strong as well. Thanks for your comment anyway! It means a lot! I'll definitely  make this game better! Good luck on the jam!

Well I forgot to compress the music so maybe sometimes it won't be loaded? Could be some weird bugs. Sorry the bgm didn't work for you. I really enjoyed the composer's music. The enemies' AI is still an issue to be revised in the future. Didn't really have enough time by the end of the jam. Thanks for your feedback anyway!

Huge thanks to you man!

Thanks:) I only tried voicing the character myself for the headbutt and hurt sfx. Good thing it worked well.

Sorry for not preparing a mobile version... I was in a hurry. Huge thanks to Rico tv. I almost cried:.) Definitely gonna work hard to complete this game. Thanks for your comment!

*didn't know until the last few days that I cannot have blood so I made everything yellow>:)

Man this is good. Reminds me of metroid, but you added this mechanism of controlling the objects in the scene. That was impressive. You're pretty good!

Yeah... There were some network issues and I missed uploading the itch version. I almost missed uploading the cover. Luckily everything is fine now:

I know it is pretty stupid to ask this question at the end of this jam... but I really struggled with getting people to play my game. I didn't get many ratings:( So I just wondered how I can get people to try my game. I know some communication with other participants would do, but I still wonder if there's a way to make the game appeal to more viewers. Would a cool title or cover work?

Amazing game! The characters are cute and the graphics are splendid! Didn't expect to see such polished work in this game jam. Tried downloading the full version but failed:( Could be problems with my browser. Great work anyways!

If you have some time, then please give my game a try:)
