The Junction VIII people actually approached me about this a while back, but I forgot all about it... 😅
I figured out how to put the mod into an IRO and got most of it working after seeing your message, but I realized that I have to extract the field files I changed from each individual field's archive in order to include the mod's field changes. That's a lot of extra tedium that I don't feel like dealing with right now, but I'll try to have an IRO out on or before 2.1's release.

I tried some things to reproduce this, but couldn't. Do you have the game updated to 1.0.1_5?
The only other thing I can think of is to use a save file to get past the crash and hopefully continue with the game. I uploaded one here: https://mega.nz/file/8ToAnRSC#2cHXhNpu9OkPQefr1qD5idKGClUJ_flY8gJF6EJOR-Y You'll have to use JKSV or another save manager (use at your own risk etc.) to make use of the save, though.

A monster is bearing down on the town of Gervasburg and it's up to the local witch to defeat it - but she's too lazy to seek it out! She instead enlists her curmudgeonly attendant, Norbert, to scour the town in search of three items needed to bring the monster to them.
