2.0.3 saves are compatible with 2.0, yeah. I've made some changes to what abilities certain GFs start with and Cerberus' Compatibility value that won't be reflected when playing off of a 2.0 save, but everything else will work like it's supposed to. As far as the Aberrant monsters go, I assume you're referring to the five involved in that sidequest. These are the ones that can heal themselves:

Ruby Dragon: Hit it with Ice- and Water-element attacks regularly to slow the rate at which it heals. Magic, Elem-Atk-J, Shiva, and Leviathan all work. Jelleyes in Centra, when encountered alone, are an easy source of Blizzaga spells, and they have Blizzara when encountered in duos. You can also Blind, Poison, and Slow it; Slow in particular is good here since the boss' healing happens when it gets its turn. Poison is harder to inflict, but deals a lot of damage. In addition to ST-Atk-J and the spells that inflict these effects, Shiva inflicts Slow and Leviathan inflicts Blind. Bad Breath, Dark Shot, and Doomtrain can inflict all three at once.

Malboro: It's weak to Fire. If its White Wind is a problem, you can zombify it.

Abyss Worm: Vampire is a physical attack, so anything that mitigates physical damage will lessen how much it heals. Characters with high Speed also have a chance to dodge it, and you can inflict it with Blind too.

I've also increased some characters', GFs', and weapons' stats since 2.0, as well as the usefulness of abilities like MiniMog, so you may find these a bit easier after updating based on that alone.

The Junction VIII people actually approached me about this a while back, but I forgot all about it... 😅

I figured out how to put the mod into an IRO and got most of it working after seeing your message, but I realized that I have to extract the field files I changed from each individual field's archive in order to include the mod's field changes. That's a lot of extra tedium that I don't feel like dealing with right now, but I'll try to have an IRO out on or before 2.1's release.

That's strange; I wonder if the game just happened to crash there. I've had it crash a time or two even when playing vanilla, though never that early. Here's hoping you don't have any other problems.

Correct, the mod only works with the English version.

I tried some things to reproduce this, but couldn't. Do you have the game updated to 1.0.1_5?

The only other thing I can think of is to use a save file to get past the crash and hopefully continue with the game. I uploaded one here: https://mega.nz/file/8ToAnRSC#2cHXhNpu9OkPQefr1qD5idKGClUJ_flY8gJF6EJOR-Y You'll have to use JKSV or another save manager (use at your own risk etc.) to make use of the save, though.

You can install the VL-Gothic font from the included Fonts folder, as well as the SH-Pinscher font. Just click on them, then hit the Install button. Hope that helps.

A monster is bearing down on the town of Gervasburg and it's up to the local witch to defeat it - but she's too lazy to seek it out! She instead enlists her curmudgeonly attendant, Norbert, to scour the town in search of three items needed to bring the monster to them.

IDM! PNE is a short, comedic RPG with a focus on exploration and engaging gameplay.

- Explore the town of Gervasburg and complete its three dungeons in any order
- Challenging battles in which the protagonist and his familiar share an MP pool
- Enemy encounters are fixed and one-time-only - no randomness, no enemies chasing you
- Approximate length: 2 hours
