Vapor — A minimal, DRM-free game launcher for Windows
Hey everyone! I’ve been working on Vapor, a lightweight, open-source launcher built for people who just want to play their games without dealing with accounts, DRM, or bloated clients.
Quick summary: Vapor scans your folders, finds your games automatically, pulls in clean artwork, and gives you a simple, fast way to launch everything from one place.
What makes it different?
- Zero-friction setup Just point Vapor at your game folder — it finds executables automatically and ignores junk like uninstallers.
- Clean, visual library Integrates with SteamGridDB to fetch covers, banners, and icons so your collection actually looks good.
- Playtime tracking Tracks your sessions automatically so you can see how long you’ve played.
- Custom collections Organize your games however you want (RPGs, Finished, Favorites, etc.)
- Multiple library folders Combine games from different drives into one unified library.
- Per-game configs Set custom launch options, mods, or environment variables for each game.
- Built-in torrent support Open magnet links directly—no separate client needed.
- Fully local & private No accounts, no telemetry, no cloud sync. Everything stays on your PC.
Quick start
- Download the latest release
- Run the installer
- Select your games folder
- Launch and play
That’s it.
