That's a different perspective that I didn't even see, but I totally understand it. Thanks for the positive opinion, even if your perspective on the song is showing the story of psychological torment in music form.

This song feels chaotic, coming from the guy who often makes chaotic music. The only notable thing I see as fitting is the symphonic parts with very well made drums.

First off, this is very Viking. But it fits the theme really well.

It's a nice track, I really don't have much feedback to give, the song reminds me of Portal though, which is funny.. but that's just a connection my brain made.

It's not a bad track, it's very high quality, and it's a nice listen, although there could've been definitely some more unique choices regarding tonality, like a random sound effect in the background or something, but it's a wonderful listen, you did well.

I tried to follow the theme as best as I could but I do get it if you can't see any of them fitting, I might've made them a little too chaotic or jolly, however I feel like Hope was the one song that really clicked with the theme, but that's just my own opinion.

Uh, not really, I don't want to compete for money.

Sounds good by me

I am lucky to have found someone who at least responded.

If you'd like for me to work on some music for the game just give me a response and I'll be ready to work on it when the time comes.

My main question is just what genre it is that you're mostly looking for or a rough guess.

Well, if you want to explore my music

Here are some links: https://soundcloud.com/shelves-with-extra-sauce https://soundcloud.com/h_415 https://soundcloud.com/gotuljosid

I can make some stuff, Chiptune, IDM, Ambient mostly.

I'd love to help with audio work for any game.

I have been making music as a hobby for 2 years mostly make IDM and Ambient but I can do chiptune too.

My time-zone is GMT for those who want that info.

So please I am happy to work on some music for a game.

What kind of music are you looking for?

I am a composer and sound designer.

Hello! I decided to join this jam to be able to work on some music for a submission, so I'd love to be able to join a team

I've been making music for 2 years and counting, so this will be an interesting challenge because well I can learn to soundtrack a game.. or well an idea of one.

To get an idea of my sounds and music

So please reach out.

My timezone is GMT so some hours I might not answer.

Thanks!

Fair.

Although I'm gonna just add here, i do not even remember how I made some of the glitch effects, might've been me playing with my line in cord and essentially creating a ground loop with pings in it, and that's how I made them but then again I could've just also done some extra weird stuff.

Like sometimes I make songs that are sound design pieces and other times songs.

Like in my honest opinion the music I submitted here, doesn't even correlate to the theme, but thanks for the feedback and positivity :)

And I'd like to know your favourite track of the two :)

The disconnection is a side effect, it's perfectly normal if you saw that.

Title Theme: A bit monotone, sounds like a video game, a little laid back, nice overall.

Qoltketh, world's cause: Chaotic noise. (Reminded me of Autechre (Note: Not a huge fan of Autechre))

Both tracks are fine, although my brain separates the two.

Good job, but still would not like to listen to the chaotic song again.

The track is good but it gets highly more boring along the way, doesn't evolve it kind of stays in a little bubble and slows down.

It's still a good track.

The drums aren't the best.

But in my opinion I don't really see this song in a video game.

The best way I can explain how this made me react is... not much.

The song is good, just an expectation moment on my part.

I expect a semi techno song, got an ambient identity crisis in auditory form.

Which fits I guess.

So good work, but not exactly my thing.

It's good for being made in Musescore singlehandedly.

However.. what could've gotten attention was mastering and mixing.

Otherwise it's decent.

Although it is less rushed in my opinion then some other songs I've heard.

I can honestly see the reason for all the positivity.

The music is orchestral but it's not overdoing the orchestral moments.

The music reminded me of LittleBigPlanet but fused with Minecraft minus literally all the electronic aspects.

It's nice, I liked it.

Well, I did not exactly think of sampling it and twisting it, rather it was based on the fact I couldn't have done something with it other than sampling it.

And thanks for giving Silky Wood from a Spider's Dream some attention.

Coral Crystals has really been getting all the attention.

I'm happy that it made you smile and enjoy yourself.

My goal was simple.

Submit something that could be "Video Game" music, even though this album is really really chaotic and a little insane.

The main reason for the motif sampling was due to me panicking about not being able to start a melody with it.

Although glad you enjoyed it!

And it you're looking for a loop point, answer is you probably won't find one, due to it being in nearly every crevice of the music.

I overused Ableton's Impulse for that. Used the samples for different sounds while still being the original sound.

To be honest, what you said is really great feedback on an overall chaotic submission on my part.

I will admit I got a little obsessed with high frequency noises, and I over used it in some aspects, which might not be for everyone, I'd think repeated listens would definitely even that out.

Compared to my other stuff the stereo imaging is a little on the low in my opinion, but still nice nonetheless.

I blame the chaos on the limited song length.

And besides that the sound design on this is still my A-game.

Thanks for the kind words!

The thing about Coral Crystals was it was a track that was overdone in some ways, but that's the reason in my opinion that I don't find it to be a bad track. Wonky Gardens was really the track I did not find to be the greatest.

But I do see why you call it digital corruption, there is a lot of just abnormal noises in the mixes.

For trackers I use Furnace Tracker for my Chiptune stuff (when I make chiptune that is)

It's alright, a bit monotone.

Which is fine I suppose if that was what you were going for.

I hear the motifs clearly, so it's a set of songs or sound files that correlate.

Although not my favourite from what I've encountered here.

Great.

Amazing.

Immaculate.

Did not play the game, although did listen to the music.

It was better than the other Chiptune one I heard.

This is music that is obviously not rushed. (Personal favourite: Forest)

To be honest, I wish you the best of luck in the musical realm.

Also reminds me a little of Dubmood, which is not bad at all, Dubmood has inspired me.

I watched that in an X/Y Oscilloscope...

That song is a sound design spectacle and a nightmare for.. well most.

I am lucky I torture myself with noise everyday, I could endure that.

It's a song you need to.. learn to endure, that's my opinion.

It's good, but good for a certain audience.

But keep making music, just.. don't make the final mix so obnoxiously loud.

But, you'll learn that with time I guess.

I'd call this Orchestral Electronica, but at the same time it clearly isn't always.

But I do like the attempts of Ambient atmosphere.

Although I do find one connection to be funny that my brain made.

Especially when the electronic aspects kick in, I hear The Lego Movie soundtrack by Mark Mothersbaugh.

Do not know why, don't want to know why, but I just do.

And that is not even bad at all

Thanks for sharing.

How very Tchaikovsky of you.

The song is a good mix between pure depression and hope?

Like the atmosphere is good, just the one thing is the flute was loud, very loud.

But one bad thing doesn't always paint a bad picture, I did hear the motifs.

First of all, I love the fact that it's kind of Ocarina of Time-like, well at least for Verdant Green.

Verdant Red is like the steroid driven Gran Turismo background track during a chaotic race-like.

Both share aspects, which I like.

So for me it's great.

The motif was audibly used in Verdant Green, but Verdant Red was audibly less focused on it.

But, It was a likeable set of tracks.

My first reaction to the literal first second was pure confusion.

It was a wonky sound. However, wonky sound was fun.

The sound just became more and more wonky.

I liked that aspect.

Although I did not hear the motifs, but that might be me.

The only like "negative" I have to really point out is, in my opinion, the music is audibly rushed.

But that doesn't really mean it is bad, like it's chiptune.

Chiptune goes either way, really depends on the listener.

But the motifs were used well, and in my personal opinion "#2 Shanty" could be used in a Monkey Island-like game.

That is if it's the same composition style but different sound design.

But good job.

Thanks for the feedback or opinion.

I was kind of stressed when I made this because like sure I've been making ambient and IDM "music" for like 2 years and counting, and like I remember joining before the theme came, and I saw motifs and me being a musician who never really learned music theory went into full stress, so the sampling and honestly overly sound designing the original motifs came from a matter of stress.

And beside that I never really could've made it fit into any of the compositions properly except for the last song, there I shoe-horned one in that led into the main part, I am a improviser in music fair and square.

and if you want similar music you can check out the stuff on my other alias Götuljósið (English: The Streetlight) but only if you want.

Then again, thanks for the opinion, I am honestly happy that this made someone enjoy themselves.
