The art really shines here! Also, the general concept makes this stand apart from all the other wheel spinning submissions here, great job!
Really the only critique I have is that sometimes the font is difficult for me to read, but mileage may very based on different players. Awesome game, you guys rock!
Honestly, The mechanics here are so good, very sonic, but less chaotic. I'd love to see you make levels for this, the foundation is super solid guys! The visual foundation is also super polished and nostalgic, I'd love to see enemies and more collectibles!
But, also I have to point out, did you guys make the music for this? Because the music for this game is amazing!! Truly, the best set of tunes I've heard this entire game jam playing session. You guys did a great job with the audio!
Great job guys, keep working at it!
Simple concept with perfect execution
It may seem like a small thing, but the simple sound effect of the lock I think really elevates the game feel, awesome job, the safe cracking felt so satisfying!
The foundation very good, I think you could totally add upon this in the future! I'm sure more rougelike elements like modular buffs/debuffs or maybe a timer could make for a really cool full fledged game!
Keep going, this rocked!
This was amazing! I loved how you treated "seriousness" as theme to follow as well as the spinning. I absolutely loved the way you implemented emotions as forms of buffs and debuffs lol. like confusion making the controls invert? GENIUS!
The laser mechanic tbh reminded me a bit of the laser to gold mechanic in lego games!
Overall, super polished and fun. The foundation's pretty evergreen, so I could see you adding plenty of additional mechanics to make the game feel more "full" and varied in the future.
Great job guys!
This is pretty sweet, great job! The mechanics here are pretty strong, I could totally see this in a full fledged game! The biggest thing that stuck out to me was the dialog! I love how the dialog boxes hang next to where they're prompt, also you can just ignore them and look away, that's so cool! Did you use the dialogic plug-in for Godot for the dialog?
Yeah, basically already better than FNAF, you guys rocked!
This is legitimately one of my favorite submissions! The moment I opened the main menu and you literally spin to navigate the menu?! GENIUS! (and on theme) I'm a big fan the monkey ball series so this game can basically do no wrong in my eyes lol. The visuals feedback and UI feel so polished.
My only suggestion would be to make more levels, this rocked!
I've been waiting to play a record related game submission, this rocks! The nuance of having to account for the slower markers on inner ridges is genuinely genius! If you're building on this further (which I think you should!) I'd love a lose condition (kinda of like the rock band games where if you lose enough the game automatically ends) and maybe more visual feedback to button timing! Great job guys! Rhythm games are hard to make
This game mechanic rocks! I love how intentional you have to be when you're aiming. The animations also feel super polished!
My only critiques might be the difficulty? Honestly I played for about 20-30 mins and I couldn't kill the enemies. Are the arrows related to where you're supposed to hit them?? Either way, great job guys!
Honestly awesome premise. I love the idea of playing essentially as bey-blades. I also didn't know these bugs were called doodlebugs! From where I'm from, they're called Rollie Pollies!
I think this game would kill as a multiplayer game (couch co-op), kinda like a sumo competition! My biggest critique is that at first I couldn't really tell why I was spinning the wheel or what it was affecting in the game, maybe that info could be given in the controls page? Great job guys!
Tbh, this is basically what I think a perfect gamejam submission. A unique control concept + cute art direction. I can definitely see this game being expanded! like imagine bigger fishes that require multiple hits to eat them, or maybe rougelike upgrades? Great work guys!
The only critique that I have is maybe the dive button, I found my self spamming E the whole time to cheat the system, perhaps the eating/diving could just be automatic? idk
Also, I think this would be a good game to export as an embedded html rather than a download (I kinda made this issue with my game submission as well)
