i just finished this the other day after sitting on it for like a year or more and i wish i'd played it sooner. i've been craving something to scratch the same itch as pseudoregalia's rich movement system, and this game absolutely does that and then some. i think things are a little floatier than i'd like and some encounters would really benefit from a fixed camera and fewer enemies, but those are pretty minor gripes. it's much fun just to run and fly around this little island, and it feels like you put a lot of thought into designing the challenges.

i even enjoyed the final boss fight! and i usually hate boss fights. but you really capped it off with a big, flashy, fun as fuck sequence that builds on everything i'd been practicing from the start.

i'm also impressed at how robust the physics are. i never clipped through anything (my specialty, something i am infamous for), only managed to get myself stuck once, and aside from camera frustrations i never really felt like it was the game's fault when i failed. props to your play tester too, because they must have been thorough.

fantastic work all around. i mean this as a compliment: i wish this game was longer.

There's no need to zip a .tar.xz file; that's already a compressed archive, sort of like zip, so that's just creating an extra step for linux users.

Loved the demo, though. Can't wait to see how the full game turns out.

Oh sure thing! I'm currently in a bit of a liminal state, but I'll get on it once I am settled into my new place.

I'm planning on streaming some of the racial justice bundle games for some friends on discord soon, and I technically bought this before then, but it'll definitely be part of the lineup now.

Oh and thank you!

I'd appreciate it! the build I downloaded seemed to run fine, but I was hesitant to get too far into it since some of the bugs fixed in newer builds looked pretty critical. I think it'd be fair to post linux builds with a warning that you have no way of testing / supporting them currently.

Will the last two updates be coming to linux soon?

.. for that matter, what happened to the linux version? I bought it a few days ago and now I'm seeing only windows.

i found out you can just sweep the coke off the mirror and it counts as snorted, which is hilarious, but i'm also thankful that my experimentation wasnt punished, and also i ended up with a perfectly clean mirror and a desk covered in coke

thank you for mentioning this one to me the other day

what do i do if i already bought venture when it was first posted? will i get the finished version too?

definitely want to see this expanded upon!!

finally read this after sitting on it for too long. i laughed & cried remembering things from my teens & early 20s that seemed like such a big deal (and were, at the time). thank you for this
