Nice game, liked the bald guys sprite, the same in both directions. Improvements could be to add a nice pixelart font and maybe colorcode the keys instead of having text (green key for green door, red for red etc)

Really fun concept on the theme and the fire effect looks good. The controls felt slippery and it was hard to see  how small the flame could be before burning out. It felt unfair to get the "ember burned out" while still seeing the orange frame on the frozen screen.  But I think it's a solid game if you make better controls and adjust the flame (maybe make the flame a small red square (ember) just as it's about to burn out, that way the player knows they have to stand still and let the flame flare up again.

Cool game, didn't see the connection to the main theme but the chairhead guy was great.

Nice sprites! Didn't really understand the objective, but got a score of 33500. Would have loved to be able to shoot up or down.

Nice work! I got ending 1. Felt the text boxes were too slow and no way to skip text to end. Especially in the beginning before getting to gameplay. Level design wise, the elevator would have been better as a staircase, as you can only go up/or down (ie not select a specific level)

I tried it again (linux) and heard the fire and birds  when turning the volume way up :)

Great game, great build on the theme. Well done how all mechanics slowly build up with tooltips and uses.

Well done, great atmosphere. The book to give objectives worked really well.  Technical: I felt the game was too dark at times, made it hard to navigate and I got lost and stuck in trees sometimes. I played in a sunny room, a gamma slider would be nice. Also it made my laptop slowly burn, maybe because of my screen resolution (2496x1664) but worked well on my desktop pc.

Big thanks for playing!

Thank you for playing :D

Thank you! It's been awesome to be part of the jam, see everyones submissions and get feedback on my creation. So I'm super happy I pushed myself the last day to actually release something :D I'll for sure try to join more jams

Thank you! The core gameplay is basically the godot doc tutorial Your first 2D game which I adapted with new sprites, smoke effects, match animation, character turning, different camera, spawn mechanics and mob spawn regions. Happy to hear my changes made it feel original :)

Thanks for playing! Yeah the match landing on a icecube is a problem I didn't know how to solve within the timeframe.  I get the new_match target position 0.2s before the current_match is burned out and the throw is 0.7s, so it's 0.9 seconds where you can't control the match. Maybe I could give the new match a target "shadow" so the player can sort of start controlling where it lands while the match is in the air.

Thank you! The music was changed 10 minutes before deadline, good that it was worth it. For my next game I'll try making my own soundtrack with Beepbox, thanks for letting me know it exists :)

Thank you for playing! I wanted matchsticks to connect more to the theme (slow burning), and it was good learning animating the fresh and burned match texture with godot tweens.

Really fun being the wildfire and seeing the npc run around panicking as you become stronger!

Lovely artstyle, fast arcade gameplay. Those pesky crabs stealing my resources. couldn't play in browser but worked well as .exe

Great take on the theme and great execution! Fun game with a cozy atmosphere

The fire spread so fast and in all directions! Finally got it under control when I focused on wetting the tiles infront of the fire instead of actual fire. Fun game! Played on windows and had no sound.

Nice sprites and good game! I think I got a bug after winning and going to main menu and trying to play again. I couldn't place my fire truck and therefore do nothing. Worked again after reloading the page,  so might be something with your reset game script.

Nice art and fun mechanics, like the snowballing when you got more trees planted and more and more seeds faster. Don't really see the theme connection though.

Nice atmosphere with the voice acting and lighting. Not that much content, as you said with time constraints, but parts you made are well done!

Thank you!

Thank you! Hate late night in audacity...

As other said, beautiful art and animations. Liked the soundtrack alot, you made it?

Really nice art and fun idea on the theme. However the gameplay loop felt tedious after a while, fill tank, go out in new direction, hope you find fuel and return. Especially with the bug where the soundtrack didn't loop. Suggestion/ideas: some more player control on the situation like a air-powered dirtbike (they exist!), map of visited places, resource scanner to give a direction, ability to replant trees for harvest.

Really fun game, good artstyle and a soundtrack that matches the desert theme.
When running in firefox i got really bad slowdowns and black screens. But in edge it worked fine. Managed to beat all levels except 4.

Lovely start art and ingame! Feels like the game doesn't start until dawn when the ghosts get faster and you have a timed goal. You could flesh this out with some more objective or collectible during the night. The controls were okay, would like a duck or dash for more control in intense situations!

Nice art! The concept is good but it felt too hard, you are too slow in the beginning and no way to know where the next cup will fall, so if it's on the opposite side youre out of luck. Didn't get enough coins for upgrades and the "how to play" and "restart" buttons didn't work for me.

Nice game,  seems unfinished but that's how gamejam deadlines go
Thought the controls were hard, zoomed out to see the whole store at the same time, but then I couldn't see the upgrade text and had to fiddle to zoom in again.
