To address your concerns: The demo does not use the soundtrack and SFX that we're working on for the full version. Being able to drag objects was the original idea for the game, which is why the early dev log entries talk about dragging, yet we decided against it because the objects would lag behind the actual mouse and that looks and feels kind of weird. The same thing can happen during the maze as well but it's not very noticeable since the environment encourages slow movements

Making the game easier to understand is something we will be working on. We are planning to add tool descriptions as well as sound feedback  for the full version but if you have any other ideas on how we could achieve heightened clarity, let us know!

I've had the same idea of adding tool descriptions/hints some time after uploading and it will definitely happen! As for the maze, since currently the game only checks for the position of the mouse I'd have to see if it's a good idea to manipulate the actual mouse position, but if it works as intended it will probably be added to a settings menu.
